Hi Everybody!

Hi there, I am known as Lord Minion.... I am currently a level 10 elven fighter (hopefully hitting 20 tonight) and I am new to retail (NCSoft) ... Just wanted to introduce myself, and let know I am around and probably looking to join a fairly large clan soon.... I plan on either become a SR or PW, so suggestions are welcome, and hope to see ya in game... you can pm me at LordMinion.... :-)

any suggestion on PW or SR?

go SR, but just so you know, there is too many of them already.

any specific reason not to go PW, or its it just because SR are so omgpwnage

SR's are fast, do a great deal of damage, but can be annoying to lvl.

PW are fast also, have good magic resistance as well as SR.. forgot that lol. Anyway, daggers don't land they're special attacks as much as they use too, but they still drop me pretty fast lol.

well for a while i assume i'll be solo'ing because i dont know anyone yet, but i think i am gonna go SR anyway... thats along ways off.... but hows about any clans out there.. whats the social life around here like?

Yes, as I am a PW I encourage you to go SR. PW's can't solo without buff boxers while SR's can. And melee type parties are lacking nowdays, the parties now are either archer or nuker. As for PvP, range is god at the present.

Actually, I think you should go SwordSinger.

Why do you think that? I kinda wanted my main to be a DD class

There's never any lack of parties for SwordSinger.

You deal pretty good damage.. not up there with SR or PW, but good damage none the less.

There's never any shortage of parties for SwordSinger, you would get such neato group buffs as:

Song of Wind (Run Faaaaasssst!)
Song of Hunter (Increases Crit Rate... yummy damage)
Song of Earth (Increases PDef)

There's a lot more songs that you would get as an SwS, but those are the main ones.

You are prolly going to find it difficult to get into larger alliances, since they are mostly b-a grade and their alts, and might find it difficult to fit you in their parties, when you prolly can't hit the mobs at your level. So you will prolly have to find a smaller clan/alliance who might have a couple of higher level die-hards who can help you out, give you advice on how different parts of the game works. Then when you hit level 55 or so, you and your clanmates are going to find it more and more difficult to level and all the high levels will start to quit one by one, and join the bigger alliances, or form their own and try to farm some newbies and start the circle anew. Just try and find some people you like to spend time with and enjoy the game.

You don't need a clan for this. You can bring questions to the boards, or you can pm me in game, if I'm on I'll answer.

Hey LordMinion look me up on either Altheaz or Khaiz. I'm around your level ( just starting out) and once we get out of newbie area we could hook up. Currently I'm in the Dark Elf starting area and I believe you said your an Elf? So yeah ....see ya in a day or two:)

Go PW, if you wanna be an archer, make a human, SR suck :cool:

But seriously... They both do a lot of damage. Archers have the advantage that they can play solo until the highest lvls and mass pvp is all about ranged attacks. Dagger is probably fun too, but you are more dependent on groups and in pvp you will be dead before you even get in range of an enemy with your puny weapon... ;)

A female friend of mine got me to read the book (author:William Goldman) long before it was a movie. I originally thought she was trying to get me to read some chick-book or something. I promise that if you do read it and don't like it, I'll make it up to you somehow. I enjoyed it that much. I thought the movie was mildly amusing but some of the stuff left out of the movie was much funnier.

The movie is okay. The book is far better.
