Hi, im returning to the game after a long time gone. Refreshing myself with all the classes, It seems to me a paladin fits my play style.
Feq questions.
1. Are they viable soloers? hell no
2. Are they viable in PvE? Yes with a good group, also paladin rock at Raid Boss tanking.
3. Are tehy viable in PvP and Mass PvP? They have little place on a pvp field, suck at 1v1 also
I know this probably gets asked hundreds of times, so thanks for any response.

Paladin has emergency heals, but not so hot, i would say DA is defiantly more user friendly. You want pvp & solo ability then DA is the way to go. Panther = ownage.
Well, I'm biased. Have always liked the Pally. Its really dependent upon what you are trying to get out of the game.
1) Are they viable soloers. Well I say yes. I'm 55 now can cruise through the mobs (undead or otherwise). With the addition of my wolf, I think I have a lot of soloing left in me (at least to 62, then we'll see);
2) Viable PvE, heck ya. See point #1. Obviously they have very good bonuses against undead, so if they are around, I'll go after that type of mob. But I have found they can grind well against most any type (except physical resist mobs, but thats the same for any melee class);
3) PvP, 1v1 - unless another pally, I'd say no. Mass PvP (as in seige). I've had mixed results. Some days great, other days not. But I've always had fun which is the main point, no?
That's just my opinion based upon my experience to lvl 55. Have a long way to go still, but I'm having fun, so I'll stick with it.

ppl say dwarves are gimp but i could kill 4 mobs before this guy killed 1
basically his role in party was to heal me and the golem
as for raids i hear they rock
mass pvp? well ppl target healers first and tanks last so they may be able to slip one by the other team and be a slealthy healer
1v1 pvp? my bet is nearly any other class can beat them
seriously though if you enjoy the class play it
one day tanks will be boosted and paladin will obviously be top of the list
