Unlock Skill

I have heard that it is not worth it for a Rogue to advance thier Unlock skill past lvl 1. However this info has been as of Chronicle I....Has this changed at all with the introduction of Chornicles II through IV?
Thanks for any input or advice you might have to offer....
:D
It doesn't seem to work very well if your unlock level is much lower than the level of the treasure box. For example to unlock a level 52 box you'd want unlock maxed all the way up to the level 52 skill set. What will happen is you'll open the box but it'll make that click noise (kinda like a broken key) and you'll get nothing. But you can still open plenty of boxes with a too low level of unlock afaik.
I've never seen any daggers unlocking chests constantly.

From what I've seen, unlock has the following 2 uses :

1)Opening chests and such. This sounds cool, but it seems chest drops are far cheaper than the price of the keys used to open them. Hence, most daggers dont bother with this.

2)Opening various doors. Throughout the game, there are certain doors that can only be opened with a daggers unlock skill. Those are few and far in between tho, seen several on devils isle and another that leads to the core on top of cruma... Anyway, in short, it seems that theese doors will open at a low chance with unlock 1, and since you wont need to do it often, you can try it 10 times before it opens when you need to.
unlock is more or less crappy at the moment. you'll spend 3k or more for the key of thiefs you need to unlock a single treasure box only to get 500a in return and a slight (like 1% or less) chance to get a enchant scroll.

there needs to be a rethink there, I believe, but like a lot of things, NCSoft has yet to get around to it, and probalby won't for at least 2 more chronicles.
I don't disagree with unlock being basically useless, but on 7x or even 8x treasure boxes you've got a shot at A/S weapon enchants which are worth truckloads, and all a TH/PW/AW has to do is silent move around, never needing to fight anything.
