I miss being able to teleport to hunting areas without all the crappy running around. Since I've to hoof it again, I can't shake this feeling of tremendous loss. It's kinda like someone has stolen my favorite car and left me a pair of bunny slippers as a trade. Gimme my gatekeepers back!!!
Level 75?? C'mon guys what the heck would a level 75 character need to teleport to the Execution Grounds for? Saving the teleports to hunting areas for 75+ toons is borderline insanity. It's akin to letting 75+ characters buy all non-grade weapons and armor for 1000 adena a piece. Howzabout we give a useful feature back to people that can actually use it??? Just raise the price if necessary....
yeah...I always thought the same thing. I mean...Once you hit lvl 75/75 you should be rolling in cash as you should not need anything except Soe/pots/shots. What else are you going to waste yer money on (except poor clannies ^.^)
They should have kept it for the poor newbies and low lvl GK (in the low lvl villages like Gludin, etc). But Oh well.
When your a noblesse you dont want to waste time porting from rune->say giran, with noble ports you can do it one go, its to save time, its not really about the money. Its a good idea because its a nice time saving reward, and it should not be available to noobs because they need to learn how to run and actually go see the game. Stop being lazy and enjoy the 40second run from dion -> exground.
Was aimed at the lazy OP, i just have a habbit of clicking the reply button at the bottom of the page, which the makes ref to the wrong person >.>

Why not make these kitties available when the 7 signs good week comes into play... i could live with that.. having these kitties just there once every 2 weeks ..... :)

Would you like a free wyrm aswell to help you get around.
Not the same thing...
And I don't quite get the "go out there and enjoy the game" thing you are talking about, yeah, its all good, the FIRST time you run to a new spot.
Hate to give reference to wow, seing how it seems to step on some posters toes here, but the discovered new area/flight point system in WoW is really nice..

Fixed that for you.
No, you broke it, its a really nice system..
You think its hard to run in Lineage?
No but people got spoiled by the kitties. What's next? You pay 100 adena and port to whatever coordinates you type in?
Word. its like soul shots/swift pots, once you aquire the taste...
All you teleport junkies just need to wait a few days, stick at it cold turkey and im sure you can pull thru this, all that fresh game air will do your character a world of good.
So things always have to be hard to be fun? Odd, in real life most things fun are easy.
Perhaps for you. Rewarding things rarely are. I feel sorry for your girlfriend.
That didn't really make any sence..
And SirE, considering you said using the flightpoint system in wow is nothing but easy.
I assumed you meant the Lineage2 way of traveling, walking, was hard.
Don't get me wrong, the carrot on a stick system placed in all MMO's, including Lineage2, is the only system I can think of that would make players continue playing.
Though, the running around in Lineage2 might be nice for the first time around, after that there is no carrot on the end of the stick, its just a chore.
Hope that clerified some thing for you SirE.

You know, SPS...I'm trying to understand your position. It's like you equate inconvenience with character validation. I would really like to know how running to a hunting area instead of porting to one adds to your list of hard-earned in-game achievements. Are they giving out some prizes for most mileage ran that I haven't heard about?
I've played L2 since before open beta. I've ran to every nook and cranny in this game...I've even swam from Giran Harbor to Talking Islands just to see if it could be done. I've done all this and I have to say that it has had zero effect on how anyone else viewed me as a player. I didn't get any more arena kills because I ran from dion to EG at some point. I didn't get any extra adena, I didn't get my name in lights. I guess my point is...it doesn't matter whether I ran to a place or ported to a place, it's just a matter of convenience. And I miss the convenience of the Event Gatekeepers a great deal. I'd even be willing to pay 10k to 20k a port...just let us keep the access to the hunting grounds without the run....

Da Smookster.
I'm sure those that have aquired many enemies find running more than just a little inconvenience...
Your willing to pay 10-20k to port from dion -> exgrnd which is just a 30-40second run...
Teleports are cover'd enough in this game, theres the normal gatekeepers AND the 7 signs gatekeepers. There options are plenty, ive never found myself running for longer then 2-3 mins max...
It's not just from Dion to EG...(actually unless I'm leveling an alt I wouldn't use that much either)...I liked being able to teleport directly to the Cemetary from HV, I liked being able to teleport to the Forbidden Gateway, and yes..I'd pay 10-20k to do this...you make that much back by killing 10 - 20 mobs in most cases.
And I've rarely, if ever, run into someone I had a beef with while travelling to a location. Sure I've seen some when I got where I was going, but not in passing.
