tell ya what i'll talk to you in the language from other post in vent or ts, if you're curious, but there's not much similarities between serb or slovenian and english. the roots of languages dont correspond either: its slavic against latin. do you use vent or ts?
We have a couple swedish peeps. I think they speak a slavik based language, but I'm not sure.
English I always thought was a pretty muttly language. Latin based, but we have alot of words filtered in from other languages too I think.. especially with American English.
Speaking of which, it's kind of wierd how in like 200 yrs American English has branched off from Queen's English.
On topic.. yeah it's gotten strangely quiet in here lately.. and it's not because all the regular post whores are gone.. it's just that no one is posting. wierd.
People that heard us speaking in Ventrilo mostly say that our language(s) - we are few from Slovak and Czech republic - sounds quite 'sharp' and they cannot recognize beginning and end of words. On the other hand Russian language sounds very melodic :)
Ontopic: Haven't received any information from ally leader what are we going to do this siege weekend, but it seems it's overall quiet on server. Maybe people are just doing their own business unrelated to politics and sieges, ... or *panic mode on* server is dying when few people from some alliances got banned! Server cannot continue without them *panic mode off*
There does also seem to be an awful lot of reorganization going on in some of the alliances on the server too. Might be an off week kinda while everyone settles down a bit. After all, it has been awful hectic the last month or so...
This has got to be the quietest I have ever seen the boards in the week before a siege...
