So I was browsing a few boards today, and seems here (if, of course you read through all the topics brought up about "nerf nukers wit tats", or "what tats are best for X class" ones) That no real percent gains information is available for +1 of each Stat. So I was just wondering if anyone has done tests, or knows someplace I didn't check :confused:. If not, I might have to do some tests once I get my money back up.
And I know people have said +1 wit is about equal to +5% or so, but is that confirmed..or just guessing?
Its posted in the player guides section i think, i remember seeing a table or all the different races % increases. Might have been on a diff forum tho ill have a look about.
I have read a lot on tats. (But I won't say that I know much about it.)
Some postings here doesn't seem to be accurate for me. There is always one that claims "wow that dye really felt great on my xy" and another says that it is crap.
If you have a high level buffer in your party you will have benefits over dyes: it's free, big increase of your stats, no negative effects (with the exception of Zerk) and a lot of fun.
BTW:
Level 76 Bishop (C4 PTS) with few buffs and no set bonus
I have always used this info as a general rule of thumb. It's not 100% accurate, but it's close enough.

How increasing, decreasing stats affect you (estimated)
Stat Changes, ty Dragthorn
To work out negative effects turn +'s into -'s
STR:
Under 40 STR, +1 STR = 3% more p. attack
Above 40 STR, +1 STR = 4% more p. attack
DEX:
+1 DEX, add .5 points to accuracy
+1 DEX, add .5 points to evade
+1 DEX, add .75 points to moving speed
+1 DEX, add 3.75 points to Physical Attack Speed
+1 DEX, add 4.75 points to Physical Attack Critial Rate
CON:
+1 CON, add 1-2% more resist to special abilities (stun, etc.)
+1 CON, add about 80HP (dependent on class and level)
+1 CON, add about 50CP (dependent on class and level)
INT:
+1 INT, add 4% more m. attack
WIT:
+1 WIT, add 5% more cast speed
+1 WIT, restore resurrection XP 3.85% more (max 90% restore rate)
MEN:
+1 MEN, increase .75% MP regeneration speed
+1 MEN, add 15MP (dependent on class and level)
Cool, buffs are great, but buffs with some tatoos are even better. And yeah I know the effects are class/race dependent, which makes getting the data for it even more hard.
Evidently the game uses modifier variables for determining stats. If you have x dex, your dex modifier is y.
Wit is very simple for cast speed. You gain 5% cast speed for each point of wit. Pretend you have 100 cast speed to start with. With +1 wit, you'd have 105 cast speed. With +2, you'd have 110.25 cast speed because it was +5% of 105 cast speed rather than +10% of 100 cast speed. But this is looking at the aftereffect of cast speed; the base formula for determining cast speed I don't know. It would have to be wit modifier*base number though. Sometimes the +5% is off by 1-5 points because the game is actually rounding your cast speed to the nearest whole number so you don't actually have 565 cast speed when it says you do, you could actually have 565.4999999. Not anything else to it.
Dex is very complicated. As far as I know it boosts either .5 or 1% onto each stat but it's not as simple as that.
Accuracy=accuracy gained from dex+level
Evasion= ^
Attack speed=atk speed gained from dex+atk speed gained from weapon
Critical=critical gained from dex+critical gained from weapon
You have to subtract out the amount gained from weapon or level in order to see the real part of the formula that dex modifies. I might take a more in depth look at this but atm I really can't be bothered to.
STR is simple just because it only modifies one stat.
Patk = ((weapon patk*level modifier*str bonus)+weapon masteries)*buffs
The level modifier is (level+89)/100
Str modifier is currently unknown. It varies from .1 to 2.0. 33 str seems to be almost exactly 1. In the end, you'll see around a 3-4% difference in your patk per point of str modified. This will vary however because weapon mastery gets in the way, making it impossible for there to be consistency in how much patk you'll get from str.
I have never really bothered to look at con or int. As far as I know they work on the same principle as STR does.
I can probably go try to find more information. It wouldn't be overly difficult because it's nothing more than looking at various stats, but it takes too long for me to do right now. So I hope that helped somewhat.
