I have played a lot of other games where you can actually solo with healer type classes 1h+shield. I love these kinda classes because there ok in party environment but can defend themselves when soloing. My question is there a certain race / job in this game that even comes close to like a battle - priest ? Can healer types solo at all if so someone post a nice setup. Thx you
I think your refering to battle prophet, yeh l2 has those. Go to skills races n classes look for prophet then have a look at their abilities, once at lvl 40 then can put on heavy armour and fight melee style, theres thousands of guides as to play one of these. You could also go light armour bishop, but there not nearly as good.

Ah nice thx a lot .
BTW i love this freaking community everyone so helpful :P
Yes but..there not really healers, neither is a prophet, but at least it has minor healing abilites, i wouldnt class shamans heals as well heals, massive MP suck.
With vampiric rage, warcriers are actually decent healers in small groups. Daggers get HP back nicely with VR, and while getting beat on, they regen ok with chant of life. But it's no battle heal, that's for sure. If you're in trouble, you're in trouble. But as long as you know what you're doing, you should be ok. This has nothing to do with soloing though.
No we really can't. I play what could be considered a priest class (best heals, best rez) and soloing even with nuker gear is slow and expensive. Some people will say otherwise but I've tried it. Groups are a million times better than trying to solo.

Now am sad :(
Don't get me wrong I love to party but I like to solo more often atleast till 52 solo. lol
If just soloing, the HP drain of the OL/WC is about as good, if not better than a heal imo. Getting 80% of 1k damage or so back per drain and I can fill quite a bit of my hp. Most of the time when I duo with SE's they end up just recharging me and not healing me.
I still think the Battle Prophet is what BrandSpankenNew is looking for. Be sure to contact Kiranya about that.
And for those that say that the Prophet's Heals are minor, you people are just subjecting yourselves to conformity instead of actually thinking about it-- at lvl 50 I am still spamming my Battle Heal on myself from level 14. A prophet's heals are supposed to be Healer heals-- but calling them minor isn't the smartest thing to claim.
At lvl 50 they may be fine, but when your with the big boys a prophets heals just dont cut it, its like a lvl 19 mage healing a lvl 40, its bad. Prophets heals recover like 300-400 of my hp, and i can close up to 8k hp depending on buffs.
My point is that it isn't about healing other people-- when I get healed by a prophet I'm not expecting much and I shouldn't have to. He's talking about soloing-- and when I solo, if I'm low on health, I still use my level 14 spells to heal myself. As long as I have acumen lvl 3 and possibly zerk I spam it in PvP and heal faster than my opponents deal damage. If he wants to work with a battle-priest role, a Prophet is a good choice if effective self-heals is what he is looking for.
BrandSpankenNew, I have a suggestion for you. It won't be a battle-priest setup but close enough to it I guess. LOL.
How about going the Warlock/Elemental Summoner/Phantom Summoner route? They're not really "player character (PC) buffer/healer" but they're "servitor buffer/healer". You get to be sort of a tank-mage group by yourself. It may be a bit expensive because of the DG crystals plus the beast ss/sps but they can solo efffectively and they can pwn in C4.
Again, they're not really buffers for other players but they're servitor buffers and they're now designed for ownage (at least in my opinion ^_^ -- getting ahead of the ******s =P)

Just a thought.
Yeah am working on a ES atm but dam i miss my novice toon. It sure as hell was fun walking around with all those buffs for 59 minutes. :P
So the battle prophet is pretty appealing seeing I dont have to ask for buffs when am alone. When am low on MP i would like to melee some greens instead of sit down waiting for MP. I can maybe do the Melee thing when my MP is around mid-way point. Then just nuke when its full again i don't know.
My main is darkwiz @ 23 but the mp regens just kills me and having no buffs sucks harcore. Now am talking to much anyhow thanks for everyones input

A Prophet shouldn't be nuking at all after level 25, just melee greens all the time. ;)
