I started out as a Dark Elf and was surprised by all the great rewards you got from the quests at low-lvls, lotsa adena and pricey weapons. Later on i reconsidered my choice of character and started a new one, different race - Orc. And geez, the quest-rewards were more than a disappointment. Less adena and practically no weapons at all, only a [censored] necklace wich drops from low-lvl keltirs anyway.
I thought this was a balanced thing, that every race got a good start with their respective quests. But hell no, Orc was just blah. How is it with the other races? Is there a big explanation for this fact? I'm a newb, so plz fill me in ^_^

Nah, I don't know, but i think Orc rocks. The females are beautiful, especially with giant armor-sets and 2-handed swords :)

First off, they're neither hawt nor **** or whatever, they're beautiful (but I can imagine that not everyone thinks that way since they're both muscular and sound a bit masculine). And second, they have faces that doesn't look like a pale teenager, manga-cartoon or a barbie.
It's party because ork is your's second character on that server. She got less ss and such. otherways ork quests are fine. Had never seen DE quest tho..
I think it was because your first character to reach level 5 is considered "new", and therefore gets better rewards for quests, can exchange weapons, gets new player buffs, etc etc. The only real problem with the new player system is that so few people actually play the first character they ever started. My "new" character was a lvl 6 human mystic on Devianne, lol.
The server doesnt matter, eg ive never played lionna but if i made a toon there right now, id get all the newb helper benefits. They should allow it so if you de-lvl the main you can then get the benefits on the new highest char.
Yeah, when I changed character I also changed server. So i got all the newb-benefits, no problems on that front. But I'm only lvl 13 anyways lol. I should'nt be here complaining when i can slay some monsters to grow stronger :o *gets bad conscience*

The quest rewards for Elven Mystics are good too. You get two staffs that fill a gap if you look at the store. So you save money until you get the better one. You also get money, spiritshots and healing potions. The spiritshots ran out after level 20 and I still have most of the healing potions at level 23.
The elven fighter quests are not too bad either I got 1000 shots, a bone shield and a sword on top of decent adena rewards. Never mind my alt was already in top NG gear, but it was surprise nonetheless, 100k so far in 2 days not bad ^^
On a side note im also pretty impressed with the state of mortal blow these days. Very high land rate for my dagger alt, just go behind that keltir, mortal blow <YELP> ahhhh feels so good, the landrate seems to be much better from behind

I find that the quests are equal between the races. The only change i would suggest and i'm going to campaign for it is the weapon quest.
Doing the weapon quest gives you a sword of the butcher which is useless when your using fist weapons. I would like to see a choice in weapons: Sword of the Butcher or Fists of the Butcher

From my stand point i think they are hot and ****. The female orc mystics have a seductivness that is only equal to that of the female dark elf. While the seductivness of the melee female is that of a strong and toned body.
I agree with the orc quests being less rewarding than the dark elf quests. While the DE quest rotation of killing skellies in SoDA, zombies in the swamp and then the fungus(es?) produces about the same amount of adena as the orc rotation of killing kasha bears, maraku werewolves and darkwing bats, it takes much, much more time to complete the orc rotation of quests as you have to collect 50, 70, and 40 of each quest item respectively. However, the biggest dissappointment of quests the orc race is lacking is the lack of a quest that gives a scroll of enchant armor D. You can sell those for 80k adena easily, so that gives an early advantage to those races who have quests for these. (DE and humans, and the elven blood fiend quest is worth 42k) So I guess Orcs and Dwarves are just SOL.

That said, Orc's money quests are very very good. 1500 from gobbo's, 3500 from werewolf, 4200 from the bats, 6100 from the Kasha bears. And you can continue doing most of (one after each other) them until you hit 20.
When we compare this to humans, we see that they lack such good money making quests. In fact I advice every human to go toLE as soon as they finish their weapon quests.
The LE have good money quests until you hit 15 and fall in a limbo. Plus some of the nice LE quests are available for everybody except De's (boneshield quest is 30k).
De's have good money quests as well. Fungi, Zombie and available to everybody (even LE's) the Spider venom quest. Their 21 level racial quest is a must for every De to do.
Orcs dont have it that bad, trust me.
And Orc females are quite attractive in their own way. I love their hairstyles for one thing.

to do the werewolf quest u have to get a ammy from the wolfes or something, wich i never got and yes, i hunted them until they was dark blue..

In c4, any amulet you get from the wolf quest will do nicely.
