I have searched but i have not been able to find an answer about run speeds of a hawkeye or silver ranger. I was wondering what their run speeds are at 52 and 75 with ww2? I know the run speed of an elf will be higher but by how much?
With the Sprint lvl 2, my run speed is 192. You get Sprint lvl 2 at lvl 52. It doesn't get any higher than that, if you modify Dex by tatoos, there will be a few more points added to that. I think highest I've seen on me was maybe 198 or something, I don't remember right now. Only thing I know who can outrun me is a Tyrant after activating his Rabbit Totem which gives em Run Speed or around 220 or so, but only for a very short time.
Humans in general run horribly slow. My limited experience with a Rouge wasn't that much better. They get a brief self buff which makes em run faster, but only for about 20 seconds or less, then it's back to their slow run speeds and wait 3 min to use that buff again.
Hawkeyes also Shoot much slower than SR's. However, Damage per arrow of Hawkeye is Superior to that of SR. But unbuffed, by the time a Hawkeye shots 1 arrow, I might be able to shoot 2-3 arrows, havent' really done any actual timing / calculations on it but sounds about right.
I think he was unbuffed at the time. but look at the stats.
eventully with a draconic bow I pushed his P atk to something like 3500+ I know that with the +12 draco he had and full buffs I was able to push his P atk over 4k. that was with out +str tattoo.
BS! HE Shoot faster than SR, unless the SR has +DEX and the HE doesn't. Reason, HE has 5% attack speed bonus from passives. Anyways, all archers shoot at about same speed, no real difference, also crit rate isn't a huge difference between SR and HE.

Comparing archer to archer in 1v1 is pretty pointless actually, HE will most likely win most of them, but often it's more luck than anything that decides who win, how many crits and how many stun-shots landed.
On a side note, I've won 1v1 against SR with BD+PP buffs when I had only PP buffs (4 times in a row), my crits were almost same as his without a BD ;)
SR's advantage is ganking, because of high run speed, makes them incredibly mobile and has entangle, PR is also very fast and has nice spells like freezing strike (not as good as entangle) and hex. HE doesn't have any way of slowing you before 77, so makes it hard against most tanks and hp-monsters. Anyways a fullbuffed archer, of any class is a monster.
Thanks for the fast replys and all the info, i think i am leaning toward the hawkeye due to the extra stats. i have a friend who is a se so i will have frequent access to buffs. i have watched people in the arena and once during a seige and the speed seems to be the only major down side to a hawkeye but fully buffed seem to be decently fast. again thanks for all the info
I would think evasion would be a stat SR have over HE. I know HE got massive HP/CP but evading an arrow is sometimes avoiding a 2k HP damaging hit, and its quite amazing what even a few more evasion will do. I was screwing around in the arena yesterday with a HE with a soulbow (I'm a SwS and I had a Carnage Bow/Crit bleed :D). It wasn't a real fight or anything just us shooting back and forth but I actually came out on top with like 100 HP and his last 2 shots were misses, among many others in the shootout :), whereas I rarely missed. Of course it wasnt a real fight as no skills were really used but the point is evasion can make or break a fight with a archer as long as you have decent evasion (without shield I got 119 evasion on my 76 SwS).
I'll agree HE are probably the best archer overall when you got buffs concerned, but self-buffed and ganking SR come out on top. PRs are also insane if they can go unnoticed, because once they are spotted they don't have much HP to lose before they drop. But when they land Power Break or Hex they can devastate enemies. But really depending on the situations involved its a toss up as to which is truly best. Sometimes in seiges your archer squad is a pure mobile ganking squad, sometimes all they got to do is hold a position. It all depends but in my opinion if you want an archer not just for ganking, I'd go HE or PR.
as an SR, Taraza has a good point, evasion is great. I hardly have to kite anymore(=3 dex with doom set) because the mob only hits me 2/5 times. So that ain't bad at all...and about the the crit sprees, the most i went on was 7 in a row...thats a lot, and if that was in PvP...the other guy would be dead long b4 the 7th shot was off. and earlier levels the run speed is great for kiting. I don't have a lot of experience with PvP yet, because all i seem to fight are nukers and i don't stand a chance against them 1v1 (don't have good jewles so i'm slept b4 i can get my stun shot off) but i have fought a lvl 56 HE, 6 levels lower than me. and he had the same patk as me prophet buffs, and i have a +4 str tat, and he has more hp as me...just came down to him missing more...the only reason i won....
but I would never trade my SRs speed/evasion/cirt rate/striking good looks for a slower/strong HE
