Subclass

Hi all, can anyone tell me about subclassing? I know you don't keep your active skills but do your passive skills carry over to your sub classes?
Subclassing system gives you a chance to grind for lvl all over again in case you didnt have enough grinding to get to lvl75 on your main class. None of you skills from your main class is carried-over. However, I think your original stats remain unchanged.

Actually, I think it's more like you get all the stats of a lvl 40 character playing that class, str, int, etc.

It essentially allows one to play a completely new class with all the stats that that class would normally have. your tattos from the main class do not carry over either. The only thing that stays the same is how you look.

Once you reach 75 on the subclass you then get to become noblesse and compete in the Olympiad.
that sucks hehe, thanks guys for the info
Social stats and looks are the things that stay, together with inventory (dunno about quest inventory though).
anyone know if you can go past level 75 on your subclass?
Yes, subclasses have the same lvl cap as your main class.
Question, you have done the grind, aquired a sub- class. How can you change from your main class to your sub-class and vice-versa? Can you do this on the fly or out in the field? Or do you have to do this at an NPC? Just wondering as it would be nice for a SE to have a WC sub-class. Nearly one stop buffing. Could give you all sorts of chants then flip and do Empower VR.

I know the buffs would not hold on the buffer as when you change from sub to main(otherwise a SH could just have SE and WC subs and buff itsself to the nines).
You have to go to the embassy of the race that has the subclass you want. You speak to one of the peeps and he changes your class. It can't be done in the field.

My only experience with the subclass system is what I did on the PTS.

Grind is the same but you are a different class.
I think you have to switch to your subclass/main class at the head guy in the guild of the race of theclass you're switching to. That's how I've been doing it, because I assume that, this is the way to do it, and I don't want to waste my time if I'm wrong.
You can be on your SE and buff your party with the SE specific buffs, but when you switch you do not keep any buffs, if you have buffed yourself. Which sucks
2 Questions about subclasses meself.

1. Do your base stats change to that of the class' race you chose? Say, would your DEX go to 35 if you chose SR as a subclass, or would it just stay at 30? (For humans) Also, do you get the pre-40 skills of that particular class?

2. Does your appearance change for races that have different mystic/fighter models? Or will you simply see a casting human fighter when you choose, say, SH as your sub?
(This wouldn't make much sense, but I'd like to know for sure.)
That stinks. It would have been nice to have a SE/WC/BD. Buff everyone to the nines with just one character. Oh sure there are still great buffs from OL Prophet and SwS. But many good ones would have been covered by just one buffer. Tis a shame you cannot just change classes in the field with say the ] button.

If you're a human Silver Ranger, you have elf stats. When you get your sub you have every skill up to and including level 40 mastered.

Nothing about your appearance changes. If you were to choose a human fighter nuker, you'd have a lot of armors with no mesh. Dark Crystal Robe looks exactly like Dark Crystal light, for example.

Another thing is that a lot of skills have no real animation so it just reverts to defaults. If you are an elven tyrant for example when you use a skill, you don't go berserk all over the place like a tyrant would. All it shows is you hitting like you normally would with the yellow wind thing like you see on Deadly Blow or tyrant skills. A bd subclass who isn't a dark elf will just /dance instead of doing that cool dance animation BDs have. Same with sws. Well, you probably get the picture. I'm trying to raise awareness of this because I want my elven tyrant to get an animation. T_T
the BD/SwS dance/song is a reason not to sub it, special if u are a human..

Actually that is EXACTLY the reason to do a BD/SwS, especially if you are a human mystic... :)

Oh god make it stop!! ;-; Funny at first, annoying 2 minutes later. =P
And if your's male dwarf will chose some archer class you will fall on your's behind doing double shot :D.
