Fishing as a red...

Weeeeeeee ! Today's fishing report !

As you all know by now, the fishing club is quickly gaining in popularity, as well as the activity of fishing in general.

Most fisherpeeps have learned well from what I have tought them. It's really enjoyable to see the fishing market evolve.

But why fish as a red ? Being a red is so much carebear it's hard to beleive. Back in the days, as soon as you turned red, people ganked you to death and picked up the sweet loot as you popped like a pinata (including equipped weapon). Many people quit the game over mistakes like these.

Nowadays, I've PK'd fishing bots like mad, and have not dropped ONCE by staying under the 5 PK rule. Man, How easy is it to be a criminal these days ?

I fished today for hours, close to town, right next to the body of the char I murdered. Many people stopped by. Most were affraid and just left, after taking some time to see me fishing. The more daring ones came close for the screenshot. Not ONE person attacked me. I guess murder is justified in some circumstances.

Of course, a red in town in tempting, so some idiot from the Core clan (why am I not surprised ?) trained a guard on me for my... Fishing pole. ROFL. Now you freaks from Core owe me a fishing rod. I got a SS of your perp.

This is true. We need to trim off as much competition as possible. It's already not the golden years anymore. It's harder to sell the stuff you fish for, the prices are dropping because more and more people are fishing.

It's like a fosset. When you log in and you fish, your turn the fosset on. When you leave, the fosset is off. Imagine a small leak in the fosset, dripping only drops of water at a time, but ALL the time. What do you think this does to the water supply ?

So no more fishing, for anyone ! Or else I will PK you.

Oh, and about that last post, well, the life of a perma-red on these boards is still pretty hard...

you can sell stuff at the racetrack if you're red. i don't think there are guards there that people can train on you. plus it's only a short run from floran. fishing gives perma-reds an easier way of being self supportive and afford the best ng gear. :)

You can't sell as a red unless it was changed. If a red makes a shop and you try to click on them, you automatically go into attack mode. A graphic cursor will automatically turn into a sword if you hover it over a red.

Maybe because they aint jerks, i dont attack reds unless i know why they went red. Some people actually have reason to turn red, not every1 pk's noobs in AC.

Yeah, if u see a criminal, and u know he murdered 10 people u first ask gently and kindly while he has a gun in his hand why did he kill those people.... :D

So? In the so-called RL, I know a girl who killed a few people (don't know how many, below 5 I think) and still carries a gun with her (with a permit, of course). It's still not any of my business why she did that.

The same goes for L2. I don't ask you why you killed those Dire Wolves, either. Not my business.

The thing is, you don't "see a criminal" - you see a guy with a gun in his hand. There is usually no way to know if it is a criminal or a plainclothes policeman.

Although I agree with the general idea of your post I think that comparing MMO mobs with RL civilians goes a bit too far. :)

Sure there is. The criminal will run. The plainclothes policeman will just stand there.

I really enjoy fishing next to a dead body. Nobody seems to want to attack you when you are near the body...

It's really crappy that you can't make buy or sell shops when red...

I generally will ask why a person is red.

With the person targetted, my control button pushed, and my finger over the attack command.
