Leveling a strider

Do dances transfer to the strider? If so, with decent gear on the strider, a set of prophet buffs and constant haste/patk/crit/accuracy dances that would make leveling one alot easier yes/no?

I guess, and remember BD also has Hate, which works fine for mobs apropriate for hatchlings, and also dances generate hate..

Yes, party buffs such as WC buffs, Dances and Songs transfer to pet.

What about Hex? My leveling strategy looked like:
Buff with prophet
Throw up dances
Hex mob/let pet peel it off me.

Rinse-Repeat.

I never experienced what hex looks like.
Dont know if letting the hatch to pull mob of you will be good. It has low defence, if nothing elce your's profet will need to heal it more often thhen if you tanked.

Doesn't the strider need to do the most damage to get the exp though?

It only gets xp from doing damage. The more damage it gives the more xp it gets.
You can still maintain aggro most of the time with hex, dances, hate and fist hitting.

the 3 breeds of strider are very different from one another.

wind can tank - i bet hex would do fine, then let the pet tank the rest of the way

star, reportedly, can't tank in C4, so you'll be more efficient w/ prophet heals to keep hate on the BD
