Is using a BigBoom to powerlvl another character (my own ufcourse) illegal?
Is long as you dont use any third party software you can powerlevel anyone you whant.
No, it is not officially classed as an exploit to the best of my knowledge.

Just like any other number of messed up things about servitors.
it's not ;)

all you can use without a other software/programm is legal :p

What is BigBoom?
Warsmith summon that explodes itself to do AoE splash damage.
you cant use big boom to plvl anymore
i tryed it out 2 weeks ago and trust me i have a hiiiiigh lvl boom

basically if you were gonna try it, somewhere around the lvl range of e.g trees is where you wanna try

but seriously with the cost of boom and its lame effectiveness youd be better of just useing the mech golem and pwning some catacomb mobs outa range

if you are interested in plvling the ES is the class you want
it was always better at plvling just there were so few summoners on each server noone really noticed
No, in C3 the ES couldn't do the AoE pulls it can do now, the merrow just fell over and died. The BB was cheaper, safer and faster.

Needless to say, it isn't anymore. :p

Not completely.

Exploits are in game bugs, that can be used for some kind of advantage, without the need of any other software, yet they still are illegal to use.

The servitor-out-of-range "effect" is not officially deemed an exploit, as far as I know.

ill admit i dont know much about summoners...
in c3 i seen a unicorn pull all of abg (well maybe not really) had to have been at least 20+ groups
it got back to where the group was and managed to get a nuke off, it didnt kill the mobs by itself there was a ws with big boom to finish them

in c3 i know the highest lvl boom could pull maybe 11 groups fully buffed, it would have about a 80% chance of triggering in time
in c4 my boom can pull 4 groups with about a 70% chance to trigger
so.... do the maths
my guess is an ES can pull at least 11 groups in c4 and since it doesnt suffer the distance>damage nerf boom does it should be able to 1 hit the mobs
In C3, a unicorn could nuke those groups for a grand total of maybe 1/4th their HP (we got this on video from Ehli/Sunspark).

I doubt there was just the one WS.

well like i said i dont know summoners very well
was the uni emped?
with emp 3 on a lvl 3 big boom (lvl 66 ws) you could 2 hit abg mobs
so its posible that the ws was 70+ and done 3/4 of the damage

so what damage did a 70+ es do?
in c4 with emp and sps i cant 1 hit abg mobs (can barely 2 hit them) but i suspect thats due to the range nerf and not the -5% damage nerf they done to all summons
Hmm, maybe it gets significantly better in higher levels.

Right now, I barely two-hit Connabi groups (white to me) with BSPS

interesting you say that
cannobi where one of the places i checked for plvling
i can 1 hit nearly all of the group with emp 3 and sps
mobs are dark blue by about 10 lvls?

either way im sticking to my theory that es are better plvlers
and without a doubt in c4 they are better

< my video :p

ES selfbuff emp3 at 56, we don't need an SE. Gotta love all the SE's ingame giving my pony emp3 and not VR, lol.

I was somewhere 65-69 or so at that moment, don't remember. BB in C3 did a lot more damage as my AoE pony. This is different in C4 though, where I can 2 hit those mobs. They are blue to me now so I'm not hunting there anymore, and changed to "semi" aoe-ing in Forest of the dead (aoeing small groups and/or adds).

AFAIK your BB still does more damage as my AoE pony in C4, but my AoE pony has no maximum amount of targets, nor does it has a decreased effect radius like your BB. Also it doesn't selfdestruct, of course. lol.
@schmusekatze

than that's NC soft's problem, noone can desire, that you don't play the game like it is. ( we saw it on the PTS with the + 60k weapons ... )

yup ill go along with that
boom definately does more damage than any other aoe summon
the problem lies in its range, it seems to lose like 50% of its power in a very short range
as we all know mob groups is what you want to hunt and since only the leader is agro its the only one that gets the full force of the attack (leaveing the rest at half hp to agro the ws since boom dies when it blows)

It becomes your problem, the moment NCsoft officially announces it to be an exploit. No matter, for how long a bug remains in game, the moment it is classified as an exploit, is the moment, where you can get banned for using it, without any kind of third party programs.

i didn't say i use them, did i?
it's great, you can take a zitat ... and what change that?
if u say to a lil child "DON'T GO THERE" it will go anyway
Just before C4, I boomed a bishop, SE, and prophet to 40. I was in Tanor Canyon, where my boom could one shot any number of mobs, as long as it could survive being attacked.

After C4 I went back and did one test on several groups collected together. The bosses were close to the boom, and all died. The minions did not gather as close to the boom, and most survived. Then they came after my WS, and I had to pull out the big stick.

The damage of the boom has changed. More damage close by, less further away. This means one shot kills on whole groups is less likely.

Considering the increased cost of the summons, the new problem of agro on the summoner, and the increased time to call the bomb, the Big Boom is probably a useless skill.
Except if you're duoing with another summoner - the unicorn merrow can more than adequately replace a tank as a puller (with zerk and windwalk, it has upwards of 250 runspeed, thus won't be hit if you're careful pulling and make good use of the move/return/attack command), and it can almost definitely get off one nuke. Positioning the boom close to the merrow (or making the merrow Return to the boom's position), it should be possible to two-shot larger groups.

I've not been able to experiment much since the SM is as good as abandoned of anyone but nukers one- or two-shotting the connabi groups there.
