Been exploring in-game and noticed some raid boss descriptions (i havent been solo'ing RB's..honest) The lil guys on ali island make reference to the great water dragon Fafurion or something, my guess is this will be the C5 water dragon and will be located some where near heine. I wanted to know what all you guys think C5 will hold for us, new areas, textures, etc. :D
I also read on some korean site there is a poll as to what should happen to OE'd armours, so far the majority of their player base wants added bonus effects like sleep/hold resistence when armour is OE'd by X amount.
I really dont think c5 will add that much to the game, maybe a new new area's but nothing major. Maybe the next lvl of S-grade weapons, and something special for OE'd armor like you said.

I'd definitely support new additions to Heine and that general area. IMHO Its the most visually appealing place in L2, and adding a water dragon is ++++ good idea. They also need to add higher level mobs-- I'd love to, at some point, be able to grind there again-- pre-40 my favorite place to exp was the Field of Whispers. It was unoccupied, free of bots, and had good spacing on mobs so that you were neither ganked nor spent too much time running around finding them.
At least two new regions in Elmore: Lyonn and one name I forgot (just run from Dwarf Village to Coal Mines and it will show up at some point). Probably more than two though, those are large empty fields there.
When you go to Innadril Castle there's large "island" to the east. I assume it will be some high level Innadril area and Fafurion will be there not in GoE (GoE is too low level for a dragon to be there, you're not supposed to be able to get to a dragon solo <.<)
Rune is the captial of Elmore btw meaning it will have a similar tax system to Aden castle.
My guess is they will wipe GoE out and redo the mobs Faurion was in GoE in L1 and he will be there in L2. Faurion is also a lot weaker then Antharas and Valk if u use L1 as a example Valk and Antharas were the strongest 2 dragons.
Well at if the big blue door at the base of GOE would open you would be able to get into the room he will be in, so I doubt there's going to be a major quest to be able to get to him, unless they make you have to kill other bosses for keys to open the doors that now open every 10 minutes or so.
The room itself is stunning, just wish you could actually get to it.

Raid boss there, appears based on in-game time. Was already there in C3. Yes, behind the water wall door in the center. But nobody seems to do that raid boss often, since it is annoying to get there and you have to be there at the correct time. Have not been down there in C4 yet, though.
Actually, I think that several things will be done in C5:
They will expand upon the 7 signs
They will fine tune (expand?) the Olympiad
They will add more items and areas (Forgotten Gate expansion perhaps?
They "might" want to rethink some of the areas such as Gludio, low lvl areas etc. Seems to me, even though we are receiving a trickle of new players, they really aren't being utilized to the fullest.

They might add to the 3rd Class change.
Also, they might further fine tune pvp, Possible new server if things keep going the way they are.

I'm hoping C5 puts the field mobs back into the game. I was hoping C4 would, but it didn't happen. I feel somehow very depressed when I travel though vast areas which are now empty.
The room can be beginning of passage leading to area with water dragon later, let it be even that island east of Heine. Something like Antharas' Lair -> Antharas or Forge of Gods -> Valakas. Who knows ...
BTW I think one of those little bosses (fairies or whatever) in FoS/FoW during C3 was referring to Fafurion too with some message.
I dont know, I like it the way it is regarding field mobs. I didn't care for the way they had it before with mobs all over the place. It didnt make sense. I mean what the point of having monsters all over the place and no purpose for them being there?
I think a new server would be a great idea. I dont know why people keep saying the server status is FULL and there are hardly any people in the hunting grounds. I mean seriously, can you be at ALL the hunting grounds at one time? Just because there aren't many people where you hunt, doesnt mean there aren't a lot of people in the game playing.

Well, I was thinking that by the time C5 rolls around we might have many more players. Possibly. As it was, I couldn't get into Hindemith for a little while last Sunday.
It seems to me that C5 is the "money" chronicle". No one has any idea as to what will be in it for certainty. So they could really make some drastic changes to the game (nothing too drastic like SWG) for the better.
I really would like to see more reasons for people to be around Gludio or Gludin. Reasons for people to go back to Cruma.

In C1 when you first launched L2 the little picture that came up while it was loading was a floating city. Just a big chunk of earth suspended in mid air with buildings on top.
I think it may come in one of the very late chronicles. I think they plan to expand the use of wyvrens as well. The technology just isn't there yet to have them in common use. But as the internet slowly gets faster I think they will make them more available.
BTW 6 meg DL here, fastest speed was 1 meg. So why don't they call it 1 meg?
One thing they really need to do, let orc buffs and heals effect pets!!!!
Pets under direct control of the orc should be effected by orc buffs and heals!!!
They are already affected by WC buffs and heals =) all pets/sumons in a party.
OL buffs do not affect any pets/sumons tho =(
For real? When did they change that? I haven't pulled my dragon out since C2 so I haven't even tried. I'll log in now and transfer him over from my cleric.
There are a variety of things they haven't done yet, which will probably be added in future chronicles:
-add cloaks
-add undergarments, possibly
-expand on Elmore
-finally add the continent of Gracia
-the fourth elemental dragon
-improve hatchlings further
-expand common craft, if need be
-new dungeons
Gracia will likely be a special continent, which cannot be reached until you reach a certain level, like 70. There are two places which Gracia can fit, one being west of Talking Island, and the other being south of Innadril.
Hatchlings are vastly improved, but the weapon price doesn't impress me. Not one bit.
I'm not sure how many there's supposed to be in total, Chronicle wise. Something like ten?
Lineage2 uses very little bandwidth, roughly 5Kb/s which is obtainable on a 56kb dialup connection.. (barely playable)
256kb/s which roughly spits out a result of 32Kb/s produces a reasonably excellent gameplay even durring seiges... anything faster isn't really being used enless your running more then one client or have addtional internet activities..
I'm currently in a small town of 300 people, 100 miles from the clostest city of 300,000.....
i've wireless internet, dual internet to be precise and my max download rate right now is between:
12-16mb/s which gives me a result of roughly
1.6Mb/s- 2.0Mb/s download
My upload is between 2-4mb/s alone...

Anyway, the fourth dragon? third isnt even out yet, and i think there are a total of 12 chronicles planned, whether or not L2 will survive that long i dont know. They need to speed the chronicles up if they wanna fit in another 8, im sure a new game will steal us all away before long.
Unreal 3 Engine flagship game UT2007 is set for launch possibly this summer if not for sure this fall....
Lineage3 using the Unreal 3 Engine would make for not only even better optimised running eviroment for MMORPG. But the superior physics and graphics alone will make it worth every penny. Plus ncsoft has already used an unreal engine.... they will already be very familare with how to code and make and create things using the updated unreal related SDK.
Lineage2 has a alpha and beta period.... Majority of any comments or suggestions saying for example... 3 years... would probably be refering to the official Full Release.. not beta or pre release or alpha or whatever...
Another is the fact that a comment was made near the end of one year.... so his/her reference to 3 years could easily mean only 2 years and 3 months for the final product.
i missed all those days... i came when C3 was just about to launch.....
Even pre-c3 i enjoyed some of the stuff, aside from being pked alot by daggers in a single hit.
And i personally cannot wait till Lineage3 shows it's mighty head... i can't even think of the lack of limitations that it should have considering what the unreal 3 engine is capable. of...
Beta and C1 were the good times, i definatly enjoyed L2 alot more back then. It wasnt such a serious game, mass zergs happened all the time like 50-60vs1-2 reds. All the excitement people had when a dirk dagger dropped...
Not to mention the stuipdly over sized parties to kill the weakest of mobs. You could find parties of 6-7 grinding away on orcs and werewolves.
Oh and all those mass zergs of people trying to escape TI to reach gluddin, i would pass so many dead souls who drowned on the way lol. Its definatly more fun swimming there then it was to cheat the dock manager out of his adena by timeing yourself to dive on the boat at the last second. The boat was unreliable anyway, kept crashing and throwing people over board.
