Since NCSoft wont let healers touch INT, I was thinking about going +5con -5 str setup on my Elven Elder in an attempt to have a decent amt of HP so that I don't get tossed around like a paper doll that I am. Would this work or not?
Your best defence is speed (both casting and running). You are a good shield user, too. Get +WIT first, then +DEX, then whatever you want. And don't hesitate to use healing potions when your casting time is still needed for your party members, just keep moving between casts.
Or just reroll, if this is not your style of play.
And by the way, don't duo with glads :p; for melee play, try to party with tyrants or blunt users; for 48+, warlords could be ok, too.
Agility, Recharge, sometimes Resist Shock. Wind Shackle for Nx mobs.
And, yes, Sleep. When mobs wait near your DD to be grinded, the levelling goes somehow faster than when your DD needs to pull (or move to) a next mob every time.
And I don't think the little bit of defense that agility can offer by itself would be enough for a Tyrant to choose an EE over an SE - in fact I can't see it it happening in a melee duo (although in a group, the story is different).
They have a few extra evasion passives actually, so they mostly do wear LA now and evade OK (and of course they have that totem, but when you have that on, it's not like you need to care about agility).
Evasion is crap unless your a elf, they get an inherit bonus for it, orcs humans and dwarfs just cant benefit from it. My glad with full out evasion gear will only avoid like 1/10 hits.
The totem which adds to evasion makes your p atk fall to like 50 or something crap lol.
Sorry to interrupt... but "Regardlessly" isn't actually a word. Maline usually has eloquent responses making this error seem to grate more than other's mistakes do.
zOmG maline is human!?! wth!?!?!?!?!?!
I always thought it was a word, ive used it before, i may be English but it doesnt mean i know my language that well :o
Tyrants lvl 40-45 (and sometimes even after, especially in groups) usually fight with Puma Totem. It doesn't increase PAtk, but greatly increases PAtk Speed (and, yes, evasion). The only concern is the increased amount of soulshots if a tyrant spams them. 46+ tyrant can use Ogre for fighting, or just switch Puma/Ogre/Puma for self-healing.
Tyrants don't choose EE mainly because EE is a rare class with not well understandable playstyle. Still, if you manage to bring your duo into a room packed with aggro-social mobs, the tyrant will be happy not only because of good levelling, but also because of fun you both get playing. When grinding with SE is... well, just grinding.
I didn't know that! :o But it makes sense now that I think about it. :D I don't think of my writing as good, but that's mostly because my German spelling and grammar are worse than my English, and it's hard-wired into my brain that it's not possible to be better at a foreign language than one's own.
I wonder how much of a difference pushing WIT to +5 makes.
With rabbit totem a tyrant cannot fight you back, geez. When that totem is in use a tyrant is not a threat (omg it has 50 p atk, run away !!!), also if your a mage you have no troubles hitting them, or if you use specials.
