I have used the move to target, follow master, well everything and teh pet just sits there barking at the mob after a kill. The only way he actually moves is when i tell him to attack a certain target. Other than that he doesn't want to follow me at all, so am I missing something here?
Yes first time testing out this pet stuff but seems prety crappy so far plz help.
seems to me you have it set to stay

click the follow button once and walk away it should follow you
also its posible you gave it an attack target wolf command

i done it yesterday with my golem
/target golem
/servitor attack
poor guy doesnt know what to do
im telling him to attack himself and he cant work out how ^^

Just went back in the game and tried this but i think pet is bugged or something is going on. Once again he follows me fine when i summon him. I tested the buttons b4 attaking a mob so i pressed the stay button and he did just that. I pressed the follow button and he did just that.
NOW..
When i told him to attack a mob he does but doesn't follow after the kill, and none of the buttons like move, stay, follow master seem to be working and god this is so anoying right about now.

Thx for feedback am just about to give up on him lol
Relog.. solved this problem for a summoner I know.
You said he follows when you summon, then you try the stay button and he stays.... then you tell it to attack and it does... once the mob is dead, the wolf will revert to it's last known command, in your case, it may have been /stay. Walk away from the wolf, a good distance. Did he follow? If not hit /follow. Did he come to you? He should have. Works for me every time.

thats a good explanation there
just walk faaaar away
Ok, pets when summoned are in 'Auto-Follow' mode.

If your pet doesn't follow you there can be two possible/probable reasons.

#1) Pet is in "Stay" mode. The pet should return to the spot it was in after any thing else you have it do and it finishes. I dont use the "/" commands for this. I use the "Movement mode" icon you get from the pet's action bar. One click to 'stay' and a second to go back to 'follow'.

#2) The NPC server is slowly going down the crapper. Mobs start to act funny or don't respawn etc. You often notice this first on your pet when it fails to auto follow before you notice the mob behaviour. Please NOTE: This inability to auto follow IS area dependent. ie If you move a 'screen' or two away, often the pet will begin to auto follow again. Most you can do if this happens is move to a new area where the pet follows again, or wait/petition for an inevitable npc server restart.
i have noticed the "move to target" command not only lets your pet run up to someone or something, it Stay's in the place it moved to, if your starting off your attack with a move to target, this might be your problem. toggle the follow/stay button a little after moving away from your doggy to see how he reacts.
This has happened to me before. Relogging in and resummoning didn't fix it. So I put away my wolve and tried it a few hours later and it began working fine again. I think it's just a bug in the mob server.
If the NPC server is having problems, servitors are often the first thing down
