I'm not sure how many rec's you lose a daybut I do know when you dye that your chance of losing rec's increases and you can lose them that way too!
No, you don't loose the 'recs' (recommends. the things that turn your name blue if you get enough) when you die. You lose them at a set time every day.

But you CAN lose "Rec's" (recipes) when you die. :P
So lets say I have 20 recs one day, how fast do I lose the agian?. Are they reset to zero each day?(don't think so)
If you are pre-first job change, you lose 1 per day. If you are pre-second job change, you lose 2 per day. After second job change, you lose 3 per day.

No clue. I've chastized people spamming "WTT Recs" in town. I usually shout back that "rec begging" (as I call it) is lame. Worse that adena beggers since recs are worthless. Even more annoying are those that run up to you while you're fighting mobs and ask to trade recs. I ignore them.
That said, most of my active toons always have 255 recs. It's funny that people think they're doing you a favor by reccing you after you buff them. I'd rather have a stem.
