Which should I get?

I currently just came acorss some money (750k) and I can now offered to make a decision in what I should use for my archer/dagger elf! I was wondering I am using at least 400k to buy the manticore arour & gaiters ..should I use the rest of the 350k to buy a DG dagger or a DG bow or keep them both NG? I would like to use both dagger and bow but which grade should they be with 350k currently left?
Try and always get your weapon before your armor. Also, I heard that regardless of whether you are going dagger or bow at level 40, pre-40 its easier and cheaper to use a dagger. Although you should get that reviewed by an archer or dagger class, not me :D
Well I just turned level 20 scout so thats why I was wondering I currently have no bow and I have the top NG dagger! So I'm not sure if I want to use my money to get a DG dagger & Bow or a NG Dagger & a DG Bow or what? I need to find the easiest and fastest method of weapon conbination for killing so I can level quickly!
Buy a bow or dagger. First priority is to get a good weapon before you think about your armor. Concentrate on upgrading your weapon to top D grade before you try your other weapon.

Also, as a dagger you need armor sooner then a bowuser who can just kite. However, as a bowuser, it helps to grade up gradually as the bow drains your mp at an alarming rate and there is such a thing as a to big bow for your level. But I dont think you will have that problem with a 750-1 million adana bow.
ok so I've already got the Top NG dagger I should use what I have to save up and maybe try and get DG bow like the DE Bow? and then wait till later to upgrade to better armour? I currently have DG Puma armour is what I'm using is that ok for now?

Puma is good enough for now. As you have a functional dagger right now, keep that one and buy yourself a nice bow (buy in giran best choice and price). Try to find out what style of play you like better, bow or dagger. If you prefer the dagger route you can chance your bow later back to a dagger again with the blacksmith Mammon (the seven sign competition).

Edit:
Alternatively (and perhaps the best idea), you could sell your top dagger first and then buy the biggest D-grade dagger/bow you can afford. This would leave you without a backup weapon, but that is not a biggie.
I like my bow but it takes up tons of mana to fast and I have to rerst to reg mp to much and then I like the dagger b/c it kills faster I would like to get a top DG bow and use my ng dagger b/c it doesn't use as much SSNG as my bow would and then that way I can drain there health with one shot bow and then use my dagger to finish them off BUT why buy in Giran is it b/c the NPC are cheaper or the people selling stuff in private stores cheaper? I'm trying to find a cheap DG Dark Elven Bow what should I pay for one?
Do NOT mix grades in weapons. ie.. D grade bow + NG dagger... you will need two types of soul shots.

Get the best dagger your money will buy. Once you have that, sell your NG dagger, and invest that money in seeds. Sell off the rewards you get from the seeds to finance your Manticore set. Sell off your puma set, keep working seeds and quests, then upgrade your dagger with Mammon.

Reguardless of wether you are going archer or dagger at lvl 40, it is faster and cheaper to level with a dagger. If you upgrade your dagger to mithril dagger, it will be a viable tool for you upto your mid to high 40's, even as an archer.
i would suggest purchasing a dagger first, i've always been terrible with bows... always run out of arrows and mp at the same time and have to run from my prey. the arrows are heavy also, using a dagger allows you to carry more SS, and you dont need to worry quite as much if your out of MP fighting.

-if you dont like the one you get, you can always switch at Mammon later, as often as you like, free of charge.

Sell off your puma set, keep working seeds and quests, then upgrade your dagger with Mammon.

You can also crush that puma set and sell the crystals, it will give you more money then just selling the set. If you dont have a dwarf you can trust with your's gear then look up crystal value on this site and ask to put those crystals into a trade window.
You can also craft from ss from those crystals vith a friendly dwraft or just a crafshop. Then they will be cheaper then market selling price.
The biggest problem with bows is their enormous expense in soulshots. The easiest way to avoid this is to stop using soulshots. As bowusers are good at soloing (even without ss) you can save your wild ss expenditure for those moments you are grouping.

Ps. you will find that leveling with a dagger becomes less easy as soon as the newbie buffs stop working. Those buffs help a lot and can keep you going and going. Without them, you will have to rest often. (or get a healer helping you)
Having played a scout who went archer, I'd say go with a dagger as your main weapon for now... actually, I used a dagger up until level 50 or so because it was more efficient and less downtime on the right mobs... bows really do drain mana (though an emi with cheapshot will help if you're rich at 40 - I wasn't though). The dagger I could spam ss with without any real problems coming around adena-wise, as long as I did the manor (which is clumsier to do with a bow btw).

On the other hand it's fun to try out being a bowman early I guess, but really, it's such a bore kiting with a bow in PvE - enjoy the dagger while it lasts! ;)
Well this is not my first character but it will be my main so I don't get the newbie buffs so do you still think I should invest in a top DG dagger first before a bow?
Yes. Dagger > Bow. You can use the dagger and hit 3 times in the time you fire one arrow, it will be the same SS consumption and your gunna hurt more, because you have the chance to crit hit 3 consequative times.
Woodsman is half-right about buying in Giran. Don't expect to find a D-grade item on a private seller there. I believe he's talking about buying from the NPC store. That CAN be good if taxes are low. Usually they are not. Plus, if you are the patient type, someone will sell a weap at lower than the NPC store offers.

D-grade people usually hang out in Dion. Yes, many try to scam you with inflated prices, but if you know the number of crystals a weap can be crushed for, you can calulate what's a good price or not. Any weapon in the 550a to 650a range PER CRYSTAL that is not top-D is a decent price (less than you'll find in Giran). For instance, a shilen knife for 967K-1.14mil is a decent deal (based on the fact that it gives you 1758 D-crystals when you crush it). This suggestion doesn't apply to Top-D weapons.
With 750k what type of DG Dagger would I be able to afford?
lol actually I have a calculator out but I also have the Lineage 2 prima but it's so outdated that I have no idea for pricing and this web site doesn't offer pricing as well :( so the only thing I can go on is what I remember from thje npc stores or if someone else might remember from recently purchasing one heh
the prima NPC prices havent changed, or almost havent. just dont forget to srow the taxes on top of prima price (both of Giran and Aden). you can look current taxes up in the comuntity section

poinard dagger is 700k i believe...

but i wouldn't buy it... id sell my ng dagger (around 260k?) and buy the 1m dagger... (forgot name)

that or sell everything and buy red seal stones at 13 a each then sell them at 18a each. do this 4 times and you will have enough for the 1.5m weapon top d grade armor and enough ss to get you to lvl 40. at lvl 40 sell off everything and repeat until you can do it for c-grade... same at lvl 52, at lvl 61 join a clan and raid... it isn't fast, but it works.

/edit should have said red not green... with green you need to buy at 6 sell at 9... you actually make a bit more doing this than you do with the reds... you can always sell bulk sets to get the perfect 1.3/1.8 combination with green, but it is harder.... you can adjust your prices depending on how much of a hurry you are in, but in the long run it works out about the same profit in the week....
I checked to see how much the DE Bow DG sells for in NPC Castles and it says 772,800 and then when I go to Gludio to get it it sells there for 850,760 which is a lot more then I thought from the book but might be prices like you said heh ;) thanks again!

what server are u on? u can check the castle control map to find the town with the lowest taxes... you better run it or the amount you save using gk might not be worth it... I'm pretty sure rune isn't taxed, but I don't know how high of weapons they sell...

That is 15% more, which is actuly a fine tax rate.. At my server now many castles have 25-30% over the prima prices..
