Two years ago, a great American Company(NCSOFT), in whose symbolic shadow we play created the Eula Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of online gamers who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice (WOW, EVERLASTI,II). It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity. But two years later, we must face the tragic fact that Hindemith is still not free.
Two years later, the life of the online gamer is sadly crippled by the manacles of farmers and the chains of illegal program parties. Two years later, Hinde lives on a lonely island of real players and in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. Two years later, Hinde is languishing in the corners of the farmer society and finds himself an exile in his own land.
So I have posted here today to dramatize an appalling condition. In a sense we have come to our servers capital to cash a check. When the architects of our community wrote the magnificent words of the Eula and the Declaration of Forum Policies, they were signing a promissory note to which every Hinde was to fall heir.
This note was a promise that all players would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of PVP, Leveling, and the pursuit of drops. It is obvious today that NCsoft has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as the citizens of Hinde are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, NCsoft has given the Hinde people a bad check which has come back marked "insufficient funds." But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this corporation.
So we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom from the farmers/illegal progam users and the security of justice. We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind NCsoft of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to rise from the dark and farmer populated dragon valley to the sunlit path of justice. Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of Lineage’s children. Now is the time to lift our server from the quicksands of farmer injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.
It would be fatal for NCsoft to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the Hinde community . This Blistering winter of the Hinde legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom from farmers and equality in gameplay. C4 is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the Hinde needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the NCsoft returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in Lineage until Hinde is granted his Eula rights. (Ban Redguards!)
The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our server until the bright day of justice emerges. But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.
We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into
board flames. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting Redguards and farmers with a united force.
The marvelous new militancy which has must engulf the Hinde community must not lead us to distrust of all chinesse people, for many of our chinesse brothers, as evidenced by their presence in our clans and alliances, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.
We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of Eula rights, "When will you be satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as our toons, heavy with the fatigue of leveling, cannot log in the catacombs of the server and the dungeons of Aden or raid the bosses without farmers taking them over. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Hinde basic mobility is from smaller cats, dungeons and raid bosses. We can never be satisfied as long as a Hinde cannot post and a player in our great community believes they have nothing for which to post worth fighting for. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.
I am not unmindful that some of you have posted here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of the forum police. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.
Go back to the Giran, go back to Oren, go back to Aden, go back to Hunters Village, go back to the slums and ghettos of our beginner villages, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Hinde dream.
I have a dream that one day this server will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all players are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the grounds of aden castle that single clans and clans of small alliances and the clans of large alliances will be able to sit down together at a table of Aden. I have a dream that one day even the alliances of Legend, Epoch, Core, Divine, Oblivine sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that all the people of Hinde will one day live in a nation where they will not log in and find their raidboss taken by a farmer clan or illegal programs in there favorite hunting area. Every character will be a real character and the Eula enforced though out all of Hinde. I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day Redguards, whose leaders are presently overflowing with the words of arrogance and nullification, will be hunted into a situation where little clans and big clans and little alliance and big alliance will be able to join hands with Epoch and Legend, Core, Divine exc. and walk together as sisters and brothers to wipe out Redguards and rid our server of the evil that is plaguing our great community. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be farmer free, every hill and mountain shall be made illegal program free, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lineage shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. This is our hope. This is the faith with which I return to the Hinde. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony
of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pvp together, to struggle together, to go to hunt together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.
This will be the day when all of Hinde’s children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My server, 'tis of thee, sweet land is botter free, of thee I sing. Land where Redguards died, land of our servers pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring." And if Hinde is to be a great server, this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of Dion. Let freedom ring from the Dragon Valley of Giran. Let freedom ring from the Cemetery of Aden! Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Dwarven Village! Let freedom ring from the Ruins of Agony of Gludio! But not only that; let freedom ring from Enchanted Valley of Hunters Village! Let freedom ring from Ivory Tower of Oren! Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Goddard. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every clan and every alliance, we will be able to speed up that day when all of Hinde's children, small clans and big clans, American and European, Russian and German, will be able to join hands and sing in the words, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"
I am asking for all the clans and alliances to come together for a week or two to form a mega server alliance that’s only purpose is to take out Redguards!
We put everything on hold for 1 week or 2. No sieges or festivals just log in form a party and PK redguards. Go red then have someone help you wash it. If anyone PK’s you while they are red they go on a server wide PK hunt. We must unite ALL the alliances if we want to beat Redguards. How bad do you want your freedom? Ncsoft isn’t going to give it to you , you are going to have to rise up and take it!

They don't care a rats (rear end) if we kill them, foil a few raids, etc..... half of the alliances on this server are warring them. They don't care. They still kill the bosses. They still get what they want, even if they cannot kill a certain boss at a certain time. It can only end with the big-shots upstairs stepping into the picture.

there is something u can do to take it into ur own hands, get a vast majority of the legit players on the server to train every b*t they see get there gear and after time adena prices will rise causing the e**yers to pay more money an some of them wont do that, meanin they make less money stuff like that eventually it will get rid of SOME of the b*ts theres no way u can ever get rid of them all
this could dramatically rise the prices of basic and key mats but if u really want the b*ts this is the way to do it dont rely on the GM's I know alot of u already train bots but we need more ppl to TAKE IT INTO YOUR OWN HANDS HINDE
We aren't talking about the bots. We are talking about one clan, and their seller dwarf. The bots can be handled, the other clan cannot, as the price is too steep.
Farmers will remainas long as ebayers will. But as for botting raid killers - i am forced to consider a possibility that NCsoft crew gets more than abonent 15$ from them.

Forum mods close the threads telling you to go to support (or just delete them), which will either ignore you or send you to... the forums. It's a very well worked out system to make paying customers numb and give up. It's not like NC invented it but they sure play it well...

Considering all the apathy when it comes to doing something about RG, nothing will ever get done. Far too many people think it won't help if we all rise up against them, yet it's never been tried. I'm not talking a clan here a clan there..ALL the big alliances need to be involved.
People think they don't care about dying, what happens when they die (and their rezzers die) again and again? They lose exp, they delvl if done enough times. And then? They will have to go grind like they used to do. So yes, they will care about dying, if they die consistantly.

The only way we could even bother them was for the entire server to agree to KOS them at all times, but that's impossible. Too many communication barriors, timezone differences, too many people that solo, too many people afriad to go red because they're afraid to do a sin-eater.

If Every legitimate player on Hindemith cancelled their account for 1 month (only 1 month) and set in a Support Ticket stating that you are no longer satisfied with Lineage2, that the 3rd Party Programmers and Professional Farmers that out number real players atleast 4:1 are ruining your game expirience.
Perhaps then they will take notice... Maybe. If our support team ever come back from the Auto Assault Beta Testing period.

We shouldn't have to give up the game for a month to make them understand what's going on. We already have real players quitting almost daily because of the issues discussed on the forums recently, so if we get people to quit for a month I'm sure they'd find soemthing else to do and probably not come back.
We don't need to lose anymore than we already have and already are currently losing.
They already understand. They read every thread, but how should they respond? Continued thread posting about the same topic runs the risk of challenging the GM's prowess. Once you have done that, you have probably lost any credibility and will need to work at your posts extra hard if you want to be heard.
The post I made was not supposed to be a whiny post (not real sure what the objective reader's effect was.) The answer we were given was to contact support, which I did. Since I got an automated response from the 2nd level up, I took one more action that hadn't occured to me to try. Finally I saw what I was looking for. They do have their eyes on it. They have heard our griping/complaining and logical arguments as to why we are all so upset as a community.
Will action be taken? Will it be what we want?
We didn't make a simple accusation of guilt, we brought the house. What these board gm's have to do is decipher the real problems and make sure it is a worthwhile endeavor to troubleshoot each thread here in game. If they went off on a wild goose chase everytime someone accused another of botting/farming, we would see even less support than we do now.
My intent was acheived. My hope is that action will be taken.

Thanks for taking the time to pursue what you did. Most (including myself) would most likely look at that as an impossible mountain to climb. To me, the support system makes our outcrys weak and feeble by creating an environment of isolation. Most issues on an individual level are easy to target and break or dismiss. En masse, it becomes a different story.
Agreed, in my experience in the military, I have learned that the word "no" is not acceptable at the first level. There are many avenues of approach to pursue before I will determine the original answer was justified. NCsoft is just a different beast that needs to be pursued with real concerns that do not appear to be babble or daily whining. I do my fair share of all 3.
Saddly I know... the loss of any real player simply puts more pressure on the rest of us who call Hindemith home. My clan has lost people recently who can no longer put up the the Farmers and botters.
But can we as a community think of any other recourse that will give NCSoft pause?
We all report bots and botter trains, day after day, week after week, and yet there they are. Still monopolizing the hunting areas; destroying the manor system and scareing away real players.
If NCSoft cannot or Will not make changes I'm leaving. Why should I stay and contiue to support them in a game experience that is quickly becoming unbearable? They make NO VISIBLE effort to appease us.
If they were truely concerned NCSoft would Ban Chinese IP's. (please NOTE: I am not and in no way saying that all Chinese people are the problem) But it is very obvious that the RMT (Real Money Trading) industry in China huge and a great majority of all 3rd Party farmers and Pro Farmers are from China.
In a market the size of China why is it that they must come to our NA servers to play? I remember reading back in Prelude how NCSoft banned Chinese IP's for their Korean servers.
To those real players who hail from China I am sorry. My comments are in no way a reflection of you but of the system put in place to allow Professionals (who get paid to play L2) to destroy a game I once loved so much.
This would not elimanate the problem completely but it would be one step forward.
Unfortunately, this thread must also be closed due to the forum policies on accusations and discussions of EULA violations that I have mentioned before. Please do not create duplicate threads about this topic, as they will also have to be closed or removed.
The concerns presented in this thread and other similar threads have been passed on to the GM team, and I still encourage everyone to send in a detailed report through the web site (http://support.lineage2.com) if you feel that a specific player is violating the EULA.
