best weapon for prophet

i have a 42 lvl prophet and would like to know what would be the best damage dealing weapon for her. because u can only kill fettereds for so long lol
homu acumen and a group..
You mean a prophet who fights with weapons? I'd personally recommend a dagger and a shield, since you can buff your accuracy and critical rate/damage as well as the shield. Look for some heavy armor while you're at it.

Now, if by "best damage dealing weapon" you meant "buff then do no damage yourself", then you might like Belophan's suggestion.
i hunt solo a lot already have homu with acumen does not seem to do enough damage thinking maybe yaksa mace with health
A blunt with health isn't exactly a fountain of damage either. Look into something with a higher critical rate...
A dagger w/ a shield-- for solo PvE its perfect because of your buffs. Health doesn't help for PvE very much.

I recommend that if you go top C, buy an SLS w/ focus and a shield.
Does the Crystal Dagger not come in a Focus version? I haven't checked...
I was just on stratics to see what the SA was, but they actually didn't have it on the list, although I'm sure it has SAs. If it has focus, then get that-- focus on a dagger is more valuable than focus on a sword.
thank you all i will look into a dagger then with focus i am so glad i checked. yaksa does good for my destroyer but he has skills with it
I would disagree with the dagger and shield deal. You can produce a greater amount of damage over time with duals than a dagger even with your Guidance buff. You will miss *alot* using a dagger on a Prophet. Plus using a shield with a dagger doesn't make much sense. If you want to use a shield, get yourself a SLS with Focus. In fact, whatever weapon you get, I would highly encourage you to obtain one with Focus SA. It will be the only SA that will truely improve your damage over time.
Also if extra health is your thing, might want to consider the Spirit*Spirit +4, as that gives health SA, and bit more damage than a yaksa imo.
i thought duals do not get SA
If the Crystal Dagger gets Focus, that'd be your best damage output. If it doesn't, and for some reason I think it gets Critical Damage instead, go with the SLS. Check though, I don't have a C-grade dagger-user yet :)

i thought duals do not get SA

They do if they're overenchanted. They don't use Soul Crystals, just a chance of breaking during the overenchant.

Plus using a shield with a dagger doesn't make much sense.

Why? I might be missing something, but I really don't see a reason for that...
That's because there isn't one, just like a dagger does produce very good DPS in PvP (since focus and DW pull best on it, and you don't actually miss that much if you hunt the right mobs and get higher level - from what I hear, it's not so grand in C but very nice in B Grade).

I would say for C Grade, a focused sword is a good choice. It has enough accuracy to augment weak mystic DEX and packs a nice punch on criticals.

Shield with dagger is better for most mystic classes because of [censored] evasion. Usually have a better chance of a shield block than evading an attack, and when prophets get bless the shield it works even better. Now if it were a dagger/high evasion class, don't use the shield.

And dagger with focus vs duals is about the same amount of damage, perhaps more on the dagger but depends on crits there. You can swing for a steady 400 on crits with a dagger, or not crit once on the mob, all depends. I personally switched from focus dagger (Grace and Darkscreamer are the only 2 C grade focus daggers as far as I know) for spirit*spirit +4 as the +25%hp gives me less downtime in the end.
is there a site that gives the SA of specific weapons even the over enchanted SA of duals?

As for the dagger... Take it from a Prophet that has used nearly every weapon available. You simply miss way too much to make use of a dagger. Duals are bad enough as it is, but offers a good balance between damage output and accuracy.

As far as the shield deal... To be honest, Bless the Shield isn't useful unless you are in B grade in a set of heavy that offers a set bonus to shield defense rate, then its noticable, otherwise, its just a hinderance. Use the other arm to use another weapon.... ^^
Soloing as a Prophet you want:

Full Plate Armor Set for HP bonus.
+4 Spirit*Raid {FOCUS SA}

Even in robes, you can solo decent (for a mystic class). Battle Heal is useful for a long, long time.
I'm sorry - almost forgot the Archer build. Rare, but can actually work if you have the patience for it.

Divine Robe Set (MP bonus)
Eminence Bow with Cheap Shot SA
Greater Compressed CSS
Greater Compressed CBSpS

Method: Dryad Root non-casting creatures. Peg them with bow.
But at D and C grade, two handed sword > duals for anyone except people with masteries.

And I've played a human mystic and know plenty of elven/dark elven mystics that have used daggers - it works, and no dual will ever benefit from focus/dw the way a dagger can.
Best and yet safely created dagger for c grade would be +3 Dark Screamer SA Focus
More ++ are welcome, but you can crash the weapon on every further enchant.

Crystal dagger does not have focus SA, only crit. damage option. It's neat and all, but not that effective.

Armor... can tweak it toward light armor. Try Plated leather set - at your level it provides decent protection, but still gives a great bonus to your strength - the only thing increasing damage. Also you'll get better mana regeneration than in heavy that will cover the difference in damage you'll receive.

And last, but not least... Make strength tatoo: +4STR/-5CON if you wanna save some money (you can buy such tatoo in Giran magic shop) or +4STR/-4CON if you have enough ancient adena to spend for your leveling.

As an OL I have used both and. And the shield with OL version of bless the shield can really help against many mobs (most noticably archers) In fact, at first I just hunted with the dagger until I could afford the shield and I noticed a difference in damage done to me almost immediatly the next time out. The damage output is nice, but the Health SA of duals lets me go with less downtime. And I have tried duals, double handers, blunts, and grace dagger +4 critical SA. Daggers damage is better than the duals on average (again all depends on getting crits).

But human mystics have lower dex than orcs, so that would be why you are probably missing alot. Maybe up that for soloing?
Get raid*spirit sword and oe to +4 for focus SA. Wear Full plate if you are solo, Plated Leather set if you have the luxury of duo with an SE and get VR.
i cant reccomend a dagger.. daggers have weak patk but hit fast, dosent fit with "mystics" low patk

a focus sword is alot better imo

sword + shield for best defence

duals or 2-handed for pure dmg and more healing..
thank u all for the input i will problay try the dagger shield first then the sword shield next and then finally the duals i will let u all know how it turns out at least i have other toons that can use the weapons i do not
