Hi, Im levelin an orc mage (just started) with robes (devotion set) and sword + shield ... wanted to ask what skills and attack spells are worth raisin to use along with sword killing, orc mage have lots of em and very sp costly, dont think i have sp for all neither think I should max em all.
Venom or chill flame for lowering monster hp slowly while i kill em with sword? Venom can be maxed later on up to lvl 5 (btb Im going warcryer almost for sure), it is worth it? (to max it).Chill flames stops at lvl20, so it could be a waste of points ... next, in case i have skill points left, i should start using / raisin life drain now aswell or wait for lvl 20+ ...
Now Orc Shaman question ... which skills / attack spells u recommend me to use to lvl up from 20-40, which ones must be avoided? Any other levelin suggestions are also welcome :)

That is, many thanx for ur reading/input ;)
I always had enough SP to raise them all, I would for now though only raise one type of armor skill. Robes is the one you seem to have picked. Life drain will be awsome for leveling melee in robes, just use it to keep your HP up with bsps. Other than that DoT's work great on mobs with melee.
Yep, have choosen robes for now coz i have many little MP at lower levels, but i though to use a heavy armor to solo from 20 to 40 (ill play party aswell but not so much as solo i think). So I guess ill raise the heavy armor masteries when i need em, at lvl 20. Thats right? light armor im not sure if it is a good balance between goof pdef for solo and good mana regen for casting lots of buff while in party ...
For the actual levelin, then ill start raisin all skills I can, Weapon mastery first i think and when im able to chill flames
i would prefer heavy and use drains only to heal urself
depends on ur playstyle and if u spam ss or not, drain life could be a nice way to start killing a mob..
as i had enough money i spammed ss alot and lvled to 33 non stop (sleep/food etc. excluded ^^ )
Actually I did robes 1-nearly 5x now, solo and melee. The extra mp more than makes up for any damage done to you. But I play an OL and the buffs cost me a small fortune, and I don't dual box a buffer, so I need to buff myself. "nuking" to level an OL or WC is not a good method, you have to two shot things that most actuall nukers would one shot, and it costs you about 4x the mp. So yeah, tons of downtime there.
Eitherway, robes worked for me just fine. So it is all preference
I find always having enough mp for buffs rather than waiting for them to regen faster ^^. And the drains don't hurt leveling speed, every 3-4 mobs. Works nice imo.
Stay away from daggers, I have a Dex tat on my WC and daggers still miss too much. I used a 1H sword for a bit and a blunt most of the way.
All worked well for leveling but I really started dropping mobs when I got focused duals.
I use heavy and have plenty of MP for buffs. At a new skill level you will just run out of MP. The next level you should have just enough in heavy. I regen MP fast so by the time I get to the next mob I have enough for a life drain if needed.
If you use DoT skills to assist in melee you would have to do tough mobs. I prefure weaker mobs. They die fast, cost little SS and xp/adena add up much faster then 2X or higher mobs.
Good luck you will love WC. Most likely you will abandon robes later on, they give little benefit for melees and you will notice a huge difference.
Besides theyput in heavy armor graphics for us and we look cool in heavy now.
You want light from 20 - 40+. You have more mana, you have quicker mana regen than heavy and you can still kind of tank.
The heavy is nice for pure hand to hand, but the mana regen sucks.
As for weapons, a good one handed blunt w/ a shield is ok, but duals is what I used. Took them until level 48 where I turned them in for a blunt.
Good duals, esp. c grade w/ focus on a light armor orc and you will run thru the levels.
