Well, while back got a fighter up to 17 but quit due to WoW taking over my life. But anyhow, im back. Ive tried just about every MMO on the market and this one and WoW were the mosy appealing to me. I mostly just wanted to say whats up, hows it going and nice to meet ya all. I plan on goin the warlord path but im not completely set on that yet. I am a noob obivously with this game but i am willing to learn whatever i can. Im on Talking Island at the moment and im level 18 and was wondering, where do i need to go from here for leveling up and all that jazz. Any help or guidence is very much appricated. Sorry about the spelling, im terrible at it. See ya in game and on the forums!

Edit: Ive read the lore, some of the guides and info on the site and checked all the server forums to see what people were talking about and saying about this game. Looking forward to gettin higher in level so i can enjoy this game at its fullest.
Areas around Gludin and Neutral zone has a nice assortment of mobs around your level. Plus a change of scenery. :p
Ill have to check it out thank you. Where is the neutral zone anyhow? Does it show up on my map?
Yes, that zone is just above Gludio town. Also depending on your class, you can hunt around Dion at your level, just stay away from the eyeballs unless you have some really good jewelry.
Just a suggestion If you want to get into pvp more go archer or nuker but if you are fine with the grind and willing to level slower and be meat in pvp then go warlord but unless you are ok with those things no point being a warlord cause you won't last you'll give up and quit or reroll
Hi, welcome to the boards and welcome to Erica. :)

I hope you can enjyo your stay.

The best tip I can give you before you waste too much time on L2... you cannot play this game with the goal to level up. It is not possible, because one level will take two weeks if you don't do anything else ingame and a month if you want to play... and there are over 100 levels before you are at the "true endgame".

warlord is a difficult route... I hope that you find a good clan that supports that playstyle, then you can have a really good time with it. :)

And never forget that equipment is even harder to get than XP in this game... so be very careful what you waste your money on. ^^

Good luck, happy hunting and watch your back.

Cal
don't fretr, you can join "thefoundation" our clan leader is a WL, so you'd have no proplem geting a group.

I'm helping out my clanies to lvl, and geting them to party together, so just give kahlanrahl a ring ingame or thefounder.

Cal is on the money bud. Thou be nice to be castle lord or be a Juggerant with ur lvl 78 skills, truth is u have to waste ur life away to do that or cheat excessively. Find urself having more satisfation having fun with the new friends u meet. Who knows maybe u and ur friends will make ur own claim on Erica. Just don't lose sight that we are all here to have fun and to get away from stress of RL.

Dispite his pestimism Nole is pretty good guy, so I would definately take him up on his offer.

Enjoy ur stay on Erica.

PS. When u get a chance I recommend ur read up on Common Scams (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=spoiler&Number=533688&page =0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1). In this game it is legal to be scammed out of gear, weapons, and money. Best to smarten up and let ur wits defeat any scammer comes ur way.
Thank you guys for the info, and ill look into that Nole.

Edit: I tried to contact Kahlanrahl online but i received no response in game.
well, i am also recruiting for a new clan, planning on seiging with it soon, pm me on the boards with whats your ingame name and we will see what we can do
Welcome to Erica. You will find alot of scattered dynamics on the server and later many strong alliances of various types. Just go along and enjoy the game at a comfortable pace, don't strive towards the high goals, try playing with more relaxed clans at least until you get your bearing on the game.

And don't pay attention to silly people with illegal highend gear, they give a false illusion that its easy to get...it isn't.

Hope you enjoy the game :)

it is as long as u have a clan/ally that works very well together ;)
Depends on your definition of easy and wether or not that clan/alliance is even totally legit.

But again, for a new player starting out, striving for quick levels and full set gears at b or a grade is often not a good thing for the enjoyment of the game.

Sam :) You're back again?

i'm thinking about high lvl ppl loan gear to lower lvl ppl and killing raid bosses especially the high end ones (like antharas, baium, ....) makes it easy for a good organized ally to get gear for thier members .... but that's all based on trust and that doesn't come after one day ....

well after a certain point/lvl it's just necessary (depends on the class and play style of course) :p
As you said, these are clans and alliances that have worked a long time on this, therefor not easy. If loaned its not his.

Its just not good for a new player in the game to go in with the expectation that highlevel a grade gear is a must, and is easily obtained when it becomes avaliable, because that is a bad attitude in the game that only leads to either ebaying or great disappointments.

Also when joining a clan, its a long road to gain their trust, if you're a new player, to the point where they will give a grade gear out of the blue, so again not just easy.

Alot of good clans does sponsor, lend or give to their members. Or help them gather the needed materials for their gear.
