not allowed afk shops?

ever since tuesday myself and all the ingame friends i've asked have been disconnected an hour or so after being in AFK shop mode (judging buy the hourly "take a break messages").

Is this NC's answer to full servers? Come on, i have stuff to sell!
happened to me since c3, its because you are not "pinging the server" by moving. What u need is to keep vent on or something that at least pings your internet.

Hope that helps
Its not them, i've had a sell shop open at night, pretty much all week. Never been disconnected once.
Keeping the client running openly (so that I could see if my screen was on and I were in front of it) seems to do it for me usually.
it works for me to have Lineage2 minimized all night long BUT, I need to keep ICQ or something on as well.
The Client does not send ANY data "unprovoked", so it will not generate any outbound network activity. Many providers (including mine) see a lack of outbound activity as the user having had a heart attack at the keyboard or something and thus they just close the line.

Oh and my special and wonderful ISP also closes the line, whenever I am in a dangerous situation with my Necro :(

They're very protective. Perhaps you should inform them that you are, in fact, over the age of 18?

Bring up the L2 forums and view who's online. It auto refreshes the page every minute or so.

nice...

I have that problem too...during the night there seems not to be a problem, but during the day it always disconnects me after a couple of hours.

I'm only wasting electricity...and it hurts the bill
Some of the disconnects could be due to the random server crashes that *seem* to keep happening on some servers.

I think this might be the case to...
The reason i say that is, I almost always have a sell shop open during my bed time :P and by next morning its usually still up, only rarelly do i get a server disconect window when i wake up.

And the other things is i dont have anything else working in the background at any time during the nite, so i think more probable that its a server shut down on their side then a Idle time check there doing.....

Cheers!!
