Erica lost 2 accounts

Apologize in advance for the long post, but this evening just happened something that let me decide to cancel my two accounts.
I know that most of you will not care much about it, and it is ok. It is more for me to vent a bit of my disappointment and to give a warning about some players.

Allow me to tell you that I played in the last years several online games, some of them up to what in this world pass under the definition of “end game”.

I was reading and following L2 during the last year and in November I decided to open two accounts. The graphic and the variety of the classes convinced me to try the game.

Astralwind (SE) and CallistraHastur (BD) were born, and was a pleasure to come back home after work and enjoying the game. Asking on the forum, working hard, setting up shops during my off the game hours, I managed to reach 62 and give some very nice equipments to both of them.

During this almost 5 months I was trained, killed, harassed very often, lost XP and sometimes items and equipments as well. I always try to put in perspective the fact that I was low level and that the game is PvP oriented, therefore a natural magnet of teenagers griefers with a pretty disturbed sense of “fun”. But was ok…till tonight.

My two Dark Elves were at 97% to 63, in the Ascetics Necropolis. Pretty tired after an hard day at work, I was in a pretty difficult situation and my SE died, losing her Dark Crystal Helmet. (She is/was geared for attack, with DC Light, duals and str +4 tattoo).

A group of players were just crossing the spot (room near the entrance).

The BD runs for the exit to save herself, coming back right away only to discover that The DC Helmet was gone.

I started to ask who has taken the helmet and to please give it back. The group of players stopped at the entrance, never responding….and after a bit….. starting to teleport.
Won’t mention the names, because I don’t have any proof about them. One of them just killed the BD because I was probably “disturbing” in asking in a too polite way.

But somebody in the area took a screen shot of the person who actually took the helm. The name is Phoencia, Erica server . Talking with her, at first she denied all, then admitted to have been in a PT and the helm was taken by somebody else. She didn’t tell me the name but telling that the guy had no intention to give it back. After several others tells asking for help, she just stopped answering.

I anticipate what most of you will comment on the story. “Been there, that that”, bad luck, this kind of players are everywhere, the game is like that, take it or leave it, can I have your stuff and so on and so on.

On the other side,
- if game mechanics allow wiping in one single action 5 months of hard work (you know how much cost that helm…..)
- if there are players with this “ethic” and “set of value”, which take stuff and run away.
Then I think this is not anymore a game for me.

For the honest and honorable guys out there, hope it will not happen to you.
For the others, well done. Soon you will remain all by yourself with bots running around.

Take care.

Let me ask you then... What do you want done?
Goodbye-posts are nuked but...

...try being in a party next time. Party also has pickup priority for quite a few seconds. It IS an MMO afterall... all these multiboxers kinda ruins the athmosphere, soloing in their corner of Aden every night... is that REALLY fun? ;)
Sad players like that exist and have counted for more then 1 lost account.

Good luck in your next game
The new system should have told you who picked up the helmet so long as you were in range.
Buy/E-bay a new one, your pretty rich to have full A for a lvl62. Cant you just replace it instead of quit?
Just hold on there....

Thats it, it's over?

All she did was drop her helmet, it's not like she dropped her weapon.

Let me ask you then... What do you want done?

make ALL eqipment NOT dropable unless ur RED

that would be a good start..
well since you psted here you either want a comment or want sympathy.

Now I play on kain so I can;t say anything about you ro yoru lose other then ouch. A good friend dropped thier dc helm after huinting in toi for ages to craft it. luckily our bd picked it up and not another party. However there are ppl like that in game. I have picked up ppl stuff and given it back to them time and time agian (cept when they are red) but other's don't. Its plain and simple. Two of our guild lost thier BoP's this way and we simply kept killing the one guy we knew who picked it up until he gave the bow back. The other one we jsut kept pking till he cried to a larger guild to help him.

Plain and simpel truth is yes these games will bring out the no so niceness of ppl quite frequently, and its something you have to deal with if you want to play.
She could sell the rest of the set and downgrade to BW, most legit players dont have A grade that early anyway, wont be like shes any weaker then anyone else.
To the OP: post this in erica forums maybe some carebears will adopt you, otherwise not many people actually care.

Buy/E-bay a new one, your pretty rich to have full A for a lvl62.

I'm really starting to dislike you, but thats a topic for another thread.

Just hold on there....

Thats it, it's over?

A grade helmets are as expensive as weapons.
Yeah and your my best friend. I can make assumptions if i like.

Yes he is quite harsch. Even if having Full A at level 63 is suspicious (making level 63 in 5 months is yech though, some peoples ahve a life)

Let me ask you then... What do you want done?

then make it so you don;t loose xp on death then then then.....

I liek the fear of death and item drop. Those chances were the reason I started this game. I lost a brig tunic back in the day to the bug when it fell of me onto the grnd, lost a pair of +7 arti* elven and numerous mats. Plus if you 2 box that's the chance you take. like other ppl have said try partying this type of stuff won;t happen as often then/.

Just hold on there....

Thats it, it's over?

All she did was drop her helmet, it's not like she dropped her weapon.

On my server A grade helmets are more expensive than the weapons :(
You can still play without helmets, but try finding a way to play or a party without a weapon lmao.
Of course you can.... but I can't even imagine the horror of seeing that much money fall into the hands of someone else that easily.

If I dropped my weapon I would be headed towards the exit.

A grade helmets are as expensive as weapons.

I do not doubt that, but a weapon drop is far more severe then a helmet drop.
All true and well, but I would be mighty upset if a thing like that happened to me.

Perhaps upset enough to leave the game in disgust. I cant tell before that happens. Now I only have to get my A grade helmet and weapon. I am past 61 after all and still in B gear (and you dont want to know how hard it was for me to obtain that B stuff!)
Actually no, as the helmets are more expensive and alot rarer than weapons. Weapon drop is easy to replace and for some classes doesnt even mean much(not dependant on weapons). But if you lose the set completing A-helmet, you're screwed.
Its still not a quittable thing tho, if all your gear was gone then sure go ahead and quit, but its not like the OP is crippled for life, the OP has like another 14 odd levels untill S grade, im sure in 1-2 levels of hunting you could replace the helmet. Everyone knows there are jerks, like me, in the game and you cant expect the have your items returned, if you drop it and its on the ground its no longer yours, the game decided you were to lose it and thats that. Its up to the person who picks it up to make a moral choice. The nice thing to do would be to return it, but not everyone will, its their choice.
I would suggest you speak to their clan and see if you can get it back, if not talk to your clan and see if they will help you. Otherwise deal with it yourself, buy a new one, or downgrade into Blue wolf armour and carry on. Or you can waste the months of your life it took to get there and it will all mean nothing if your just gunna throw it away over some PvP element of the game.

5 months lvl 63, playing when you get home from work, has nice stuff for A grade and a DC helm. It doesn't seem like your a legit player. I would have kept the helm to.
Splatter wont like you no more.

Actually no, as the helmets are more expensive and alot rarer than weapons. Weapon drop is easy to replace and for some classes doesnt even mean much(not dependant on weapons). But if you lose the set completing A-helmet, you're screwed.

Rare....expensive. I wont argue with you there. But a person dropping an A or S grade weapon and have no way to replace it is far worse in my eyes then dropping an A grade helmet.

Anyways what classes are not weapon dependant?
Rubbish lazy prophets/se's/ee's. Basically any class that can be 2boxed doesnt really need a weapon. You could possibly even go with a rubbish NG weapon and use bsps as a healer, m atk does affect heals but not greatly. You wont be very popular with groups tho.
Dark Crytal Helmets are upwards of 70 (low side) 75 (average) + million adena. thats well above a lot of +0 A grade weapons. Thats a lot of money to have lost if you gathered it legit. I feel for your pain.

I think they should have item drops dependent on the cost of the item. the low costs ones drop first. The more expensive ones drop afterwards. It really is harsh to loose, as you say, 5 months worth of hard, LEGIT playing work invested in that helm and I sympathize. This kinda of thing would turn off anyone from a game like this.

But I also have to say that Lineage 2 is a harsh, harcore game, no matter what anyone else says out there. This is what the game is about. I won't say suck it up, but I will say, good luck.
Healers, nukers and tanks to some extent. A tank build for tanking can use a C-grade weapon as long as it has Health on it. A nuker can go to 75 with a Homu and a Healer can use Homu/Crystal staff all the way to 75 and beyond too since mattk doesnt really boost healing/buffing powers much. They just need Acumen SA or Mana Up SA(nukers/healers that is) or a Health SA(tank made for tanking only, ie Raid tanker).

I think they should have item drops dependent on the cost of the item. the low costs ones drop first. The more expensive ones drop afterwards.

They already made it so that clan/party members can pick it up first. That's a big step already and these kinds of situations should be rare.

Splatter wont like you no more.

Splatter who
If items dropped in order of value, I'd be using 2 ng jewels while hunting so they'd always drop first if I die to mobs. Bad idea >.<

IF you dont wanna lose stuff, get BSOE or party up. Very seldom the mobs 1 hit you >.>
Splatter the Board Orc.
Healers or Nukers need to level so they can wear the graded robes... To do this they need a weapon thats able to do the damage needed to level.

So i don't see how you can say that classes aren't weapon dependent.
Healers leech exp in parties, they very seldom lvl solo so they dont need a weapon for damage. Nukers get most of their damage from their skills. The power of the spell has much more to do with damage dealt than the mattk of the weapon, hence why Homu w/ Acumen is still a popular weapon even for some of the 70+ people(that cant afford SoM w/ Acumen or SoV w/ Acumen).
Healers dont need to do damage to level, so they dont need a very good weapon, basically all they need is something with acumen, cheapest being a homu. Nukers however do need m atk so they do need a good weapon, otherwise they wont hurt as much. Tanks...they still need a weapon as they can believe it or not do damage, there not weak.

Healers or Nukers need to level so they can wear the graded robes... To do this they need a weapon thats able to do the damage needed to level.

So i don't see how you can say that classes aren't weapon dependent.

As a healer it is your job to heal others. You can do that with a ngrade staff just as easily (its pretty fast with spiritshots to). You dont do damage anymore. And soloing is a thing of the past once you are 40+.

Shame that this thread will be closed soon, the discussion is a good one.
Yes, tanks need a weapon unless their only purpose is to tank, ie Raid tanking, or AoE tanking. Doing those two, you only need a Health weapon, so SoD would be enough.

Shame that this thread will be closed soon, the discussion is a good one.

Although "goodbye" threads are typically closed or removed, this thread is focused on a discussion of game mechanics rather than the goodbye. The thread can remain open as long as it stays constructive. Thanks!
But so far from what you three have said....

They ether used or needs a weapon, so that makes them weapon dependent :p

Sort of. You can have someone acting as a buffer without a weapon. The function perfectly well without one. You play an orc, though. All you do is hit stuff.

But so far from what you three have said....

They ether used or needs a weapon, so that makes them weapon dependent :p

Thwapp.

Even monks are weapon dependent. And they claim to use their hands......

What we man of course, is that a healer doesnt need an A grade weapon. Most settle for a mid C grade weapon until they get a new one from the hero competition.

Replacing that weapon as a level 63 wont really be a problem. Replacing that helmet however, you can buy 10 mid c weapons for a single helmet.
Lets see how many posts we can squeeze in before the golden padlock is applied to the "I quit" thread.
If you didnt read, she/he (mistryl) said so long as its constructive were safe.
Quit the game OP, if you can... No one can quit L2 its addictive, there is NO ESCAPE!
What you experienced i can best sum up as a...

"Get up from your chair knocking it backwards and throwing your mouse at the monitor"

emotion. I have experienced this a few times myself, but in the end i had to pick up my chair and put my mouse back on the table.

So will you

If you didnt read, she/he (mistryl) said so long as its constructive were safe.

Scarrily true.

L2=Hotel California.
SPS and Splatter speak the truth. I have been in such situations and yet after 2 years and hating some of the fundamental things in the game, I am still here.

I am still here.

Sadly... :p

I am still here.

Sadly... :p

Right, one sliced and diced Jester coming up. Where is my chainsaw!

Ps. Looks to me like the thread is past its usefulness now.
Thats why I said "to some extent" dear Splatter ;)

And I was mainly after the fact that C-grade weapon with the right SA is enough for them, but us real hitters need to go with B/A/S-grades respectively ;)

Two of our guild lost thier BoP's this way and we simply kept killing the one guy we knew who picked it up until he gave the bow back. The other one we jsut kept pking till he cried to a larger guild to help him.

This is a good way to deal with your situation. You know who this character is and where he hunts. If he is in a clan, PM the clan leader, ask for the item back, and give the leader some time to work it out.

If no satisfactory solution occurs, tell the clan leader and this person that you will be training/PKing him until he gives it back. If you have a high-level bounty hunter in your clan, this would be a good assignment for them.

My two Dark Elves were at 97% to 63, in the Ascetics Necropolis. ... and my SE died, losing her Dark Crystal Helmet.

I'm not usually in favor of siding with the "tough love" crowd, but those snippets say it all. If I've dropped a 70mil hat and I see other people in the room, I'm **** sure picking it up with the other toon even if it means eating a full xp death. How did this happen? Party members have a 15(?) second window priority picking up dropped items.
Aye, I would have picked it up with the BD and then BSOE/UD+pot spam out of the situation. I've done pretty much the same thing with my Destro in ToI when we got a full party wipe. Ran like hell, picking up all dropped items, popped Guts to save my own *** and then BSOE to safety. After that came back with a few others, cleared the way, ressed dead ones and gave stuff back to clannys/allys. And this was C3 with no 15second pickup priority for party members.
Big brave orc with its big brave bsoe...
Whos the inferior race now huh!?
Splatter: level to A Grade. Please. I think many of your posts on this board would have an entirely different message with that game experience behind you. I will even give you top NG and DG gear to get started grinding on a Monk on Sieghardt. I think you really, REALLY need to experience what these other players are frustrated at.

To the OP: How in the world did you get top AG without alternate characters? Unless you started playing before the Halloween event and made a fortune off of that, I am stumped how a BD and SE managed to get AG armor sets.
I don't like doing it, but I think I'll have to agree with SPS here. If you had full A Grade by 63 for two characters, then use whatever means - whether they were a helpful clan, scamming, training, excessive market play, RMT - you used to get the gear that fast to get the helmet back.

Or quit.
how in the world could you afford a DC Helm in 5 months while equiping two different charaters? and two charaters to A grade in 5 months, nice.

Get back in there if you want to play.
Ouch you sound surprised to be actually agree'ing with me lol :p
That's because of... no, no I shouldn't say that here. <angelic smile>

It's because I'm one of your much-despised carebears and you're one of my much-despised jerks. It's obvious that we wouldn't agree on much - but on this?

On another note, whether or not the OP ebayed (and I can't see that from here), I would understand an ebayer quitting over a dropped item. Hurts a lot more if it's real money someone is running off with, right?
Big Brave Orc that can atleast take 20 mobs on himself unlike a weak Gladiator. And smart enough to use the magic scroll that whisks her *** to safety, and thus saves all the equipment the other members dropped.

Again too hard for the inferior humans, hmm?
I dont get into situation which involve BSOE's because im the best.
And maline, i love carebears, honest.

I'm working on it... I finally got my frst low grade D weapon and a set of lion uppers/lowers after over a year of playing. I figure in about 5 some years i'll be up to C grade. :D
I once read something by a game developer saying how they'd never have permadeath or anything like that because it was a point where customers could potentially decide to make it an end. Games like City of Heroes (I think it was one of their devs) worked hard to avoid these points where you'd say, "oh well" and pick up the newest game.

Lineage 2 has a lot of these points. Got 100k karma from killing bots? Might as well ditch it. Died at 6 pk's and dropped everything? Give up. Scammed? Trained? Keylogger got you? Oh well. NCSoft validates these activities by not acting against them. And they're all points where a customer can decide to move on to the next game. NCSoft clearly is run by people unconcerned about losing customers.

It'll take me at least 6 months before I have a set of a-grade. I've played for a year and I have 6 million adena roughly. My main toon's gear is worth maybe 25-30 million. So I'd have to say, losing a 70 million adena helmet would, yes, be a game-stopper.

NCSoft has made a mistake when it comes to a-grade. Look at the current setup. A-grade weapon recipes are easy to get and cheap. A grade parts now drop off mobs in the new regions. Therefore a-grade weapons are relatively cheap. Yet the "you can't drop it" rule applies only to them. Now, look at helmets. Helmets require you to do the ToI quest, which has a very low probability of getting an a-grade helmet recipe (1/6 or worse). The helmet parts are easy to get. I've seen RECIPES for helmets selling for as much as low a-grade weapons! And those are 60% recipes! And yet, the helmets continue to be droppable on death. NCSoft, your policy is inconsistent. It was clearly intended to keep people from suffering critical losses. But by including only weapons and not helmets in the category, the policy is not working for a-grade toons. Either those a-grade recipes need to become more accessible or NCSoft needs to add the helmets to the no-drop list.

A grade helmets are as expensive as weapons.

I do not doubt that, but a weapon drop is far more severe then a helmet drop.

Not for A grade, not at all. A weapon is easier to craft by far if all else fails. A helms are one of the most valuable comodities in the game. I would much rather lose 3 A daggers than lose a NM helm once. Since i coudl buy near onto 4 daggers for the price of the NM
Wah!

Really.. Wah!

I lost gear too... and to a point to where I had to move from A grade armour back down to B. You know what I did? I'm still playing.... because I'm not a little -_-.
The key flaw here is that A Grade helms are so dramatically overpriced due to raidboss farmers monopolising that content and due to a ridiculously long and random quest in order to get a chance at crafting an item which costs about 1mil in materials to craft.

If the quest was designed better and the monopoly of farmers were not there the price of helmets would be more in the 10-20mil region which is far more acceptable and far less stupid as an item that can drop pretty easily.

It is unfortunate they took your helmet, but some people take what they find and others return it. I wouldn't take even a low value item from a random dead person I saw because I don't want to be labelled a thief and I like to think that if I drop something karma will ensure that someone returns it :)
Callistra, can you please teach me to play this game? i also 2box but i have a HE and prophet, yet i no where near the 100+ mil you have made in 5 months, and please dont say "i farmed the manor sysem" lolz

btw nutz to anyone who doesnt "approve" of 2boxing.
Archer is a money eater. Arrows, and increased shot usage.

On that note, I have 2 toons in full a armor (no a weapons, but prices are faaaaaallllllinnnnnggg!!!) One of these is a 71 SE, the other a 6X sorceror.

Of course.. take into account.. I also have a Warsmith with level 7 craft, a BH with level 7 spoil.. It's been said I'm a swiss army knife of toons! <Prophet with btb/bts4, TH can play dead, Bishop doesn't have much lol, Elven Wizard and SO duo just for the festivals.. omg. I have no life>
The "you can't drop it" rule applies to weapons because they are the most likely to be overenchanted - while no **** would do that to his helmet (that's what boots/gloves/main pieces are for). It wasn't put in to protect your bloody orchid or your arcana mace, it was put in to protect your Tsu*SLS + 16.

NCSoft doesn't not care about losing customers. They don't care about losing customers that shouldn't have been playing the game in the first place. A game has an audience, and addressing that audience is even more important for an MMORPG - if you get too much of a mixture, something bad happens.

NCSoft has made a game enjoyable by masochists, very stoic people and the emotionally ******ed. I daresay they address their game very well by not doing something about this.

Game-breaking experience is part of what makes L2 good.

The thing is that in L2, if you play it right, losing your A grade helmet is not a game-breaking experience - the only game-breaking experience is one that makes your clan or alliance collapse. As long as they can buffer the player's losses, the game doesn't have to quit.

Unfortunately, that's not how it goes in many clan/allies. But then, the player hasn't got the right ones.
Yep I agree -> because nothing is done about those problems is exactly why we all play Lineage 2! Those game mechanics make this game stand out against all the carebear alternatives around! Its just that most people dont see that. I remember the articel "MMORPGs made by Newbies", it explains exactly todays problems in the evolution of MMORPGs (very good read - and there you see that its not necessarily bad as it is!).

I know it may be harsh sometimes but thats exactly what makes Lineage 2 stand out of all the others MMORPGs out there.

So I by myselve am very happy that NCSoft stays with its decisions.

Kind regards,
Rin

Callistra, can you please teach me to play this game? i also 2box but i have a HE and prophet, yet i no where near the 100+ mil you have made in 5 months, and please dont say "i farmed the manor sysem" lolz

well, i made +350 mil in the last 6 weeks... PERFECTLY LEGIT ! only playing the market.. i didn't level for a **** month tho playing every day, but that was definately worth it.

BTW, i don't think i would quit if i loose my MAJ helmet, but still, that hurts a lot more than loosing ANY A WEAPON in game (even S duals for example are cheaper).
A grade Helms should be not droppable, since weapons are not.
It takes money to make money.

If you already had money, it's not a big problem to make money. Building your base fortune, however, is difficult, and even more so for people who didn't have the luxury of playing during C2, when spoils and manor were plentiful.

the problem w/ that is real ingame prices (set by players) are not the same as the prices set by the game (set by ncsoft) itself .... for exemple:

top a grade helmet: game price = 4mill -->> ingame price = 60-80mill
top a grade weapon: game price = 16mill -->> imgame price = 60-120mill

and i think for that reason only the weapon will be undroppable

It takes money to make money.

quoted for true :p

well, on Kain, NM helm is 110 mil, MAJ circlet is 150 mil.
cheapest A weapon 28 mil -> most expensive (soul bow) 120 mil.

bad game design that leads to overinflatted prices like this is not the responsability of the players.
Either:
- change the drop rates and game quests so that A helms get cheaper.
- recognize the price of A helms is a lot more and find a solution (make this item undroppable, or allow players to choose what single part of their equipment they want to be droppable... just an example)

Don't they have such a thing ? ... Luck scrolls ? Since your equipped weapon will not drop anyway, couldn't you use it on that 1 piece of irreplaceable armor such as a helmet ?
only work on raid bosses.

Not on regular mobs or Dugeon bosses.

The first antharas raid was ruined on devianne because of dropping gear and someone who sneaked in after it started was picking up drops.
Lucky charms work only for Raid bosses and the big Bosses like Antharas and such.
Losing an a-grade helmet is as bad as losing a weapon. Thats 50+ million adena down the drain.

Its even more crappy when you lose it to trains.

As for the grouping part, what does a group help if everyone is wiped out.

Yes, its a pretty crappy aspect of the game, especially lame training.
I have to agree wtih many posters that I have doubts as to the legitimacy of the item lost, but we will never know for sure unless the op stands up and admits it....hardly likely hmm?

"im sure in 1-2 levels of hunting you could replace the helmet" I curled up laughing at this one. I wish it were that easy to make that kinda money at that level....well no....probably not...but still funny hehe
I read somewhere before make first account in lineage2 that this game is different from others for the fact that "equipment is not forever".
You will think i'm crazy... but for one not knowing of market prices, drops etc.etc.. this senteces made me think: "yeahhh that is a game where the skill is more important that a **** item!!!"

From this point of view.. the hope was that the item is a little help.. but is the player and his build that make the ++ difference... so if items was not so vital.. and can be loose and found relatively fast... i was thinking: all good.

The true seems little different.. as Orc destroyer (forever!!!) i saw tragic difference (at least at my below 50 lvl).
Weapon is vital.. yeah.. one or two mp-skill that do damage also with ng weapon cannot compete with high grade top weapons.. you need that.. having high patck 2hsword make big difference.
Also for jewels.. and armour... the toon is dependent on items. Yeah.. i know.. going party.. dual or triple box.. etc etc.. are ways to go fast also without top items.. but the game is not only for multybox or focused only for structured party.

But as player i understand also the designer... making the game all skill based... and leave minimal part on items.. can destroy interest in going for 78 lvls.. so i think can be a bit difficult give items difficult to find with some advantage and don't make annoyed player.

I feel bad so for the loose of the writer, to make some million for my equip i take very long time (solo)... but.. quit?

The item you loose is so vital for your toon or is a matter of high prices not-so-usefull item?

The error from design is that classes of toon NEED an item do be almost played (without a good sword i can't kill my grade mobs.. and killing blue with an ng is a little loong way to gain money again near 50lvl to buy a new one).

Hope you don't quit. (ebayer or not, multibox or not).
bye.

On another note, whether or not the OP ebayed (and I can't see that from here), I would understand an ebayer quitting over a dropped item. Hurts a lot more if it's real money someone is running off with, right?

Actually it should hurt less or equal. Losing something you've worked month and months on is very bad.

Also, the items could have been gifts. Heck, I have been given a-grade robe, various weapons and stuff from a player when she quit the game.
Even if it was illegally gained items, it doesn't change the fact that this can happen to any completely legit character as well, so in the terms of the basic discussion, ebaying is irrelevant.

As a sidenote, where did the OP say they had 2 full a-grade sets?

If no satisfactory solution occurs, tell the clan leader and this person that you will be training/PKing him until he gives it back

Last time I saw her, Phoenicia was in an SP clan.
Which means, most likely, that contacting the clan lord and asking for the helm back would only earn huge amounts of scorn, derision and insults. Train SP? Uh, not a good idea.
One doesn't go around poking sticks into the biggest hornet nest on the server.

If a person can raise 2 A grade characters in 5 months, what's the loss of a helm? I know people who were scammed out of everything they had, and they managed to recover.

~M~
Please don't respond to me while using another persons qoute :/

It might be devastating if the items were gifts from other players. Heck even if bought its pretty devastating.

I don't even try to put one together because it would probably drop and then it would be totally pointless.
Afraid I don't buy it maline. The reason for the not dropping weapons, OE or not, is the outrageous price. You agree. I maintain that the prices of helmets, even non-OE'd is higher than the price of some OE'd a-grade weapons. With the price in that range, they need to enjoy the same protections or the price needs to be driven down. The current policy is inconsistent.

Buy/E-bay a new one, your pretty rich to have full A for a lvl62.

I'm really starting to dislike you, but thats a topic for another thread.

I have to agree that full A grade at level 62 means something is fishy. As one of those rich warsmiths, I got my A grade finished at around 67-68.

There was a level 62 nuker, in our clan, who bought a SoM for 200mil. I figured he was an ebayer at the time. The next week the original owner recalled the account. Using an alt account, the first guy laments having spent $1500 equiping the nuker. So my gut feeling was right. I have that same feeling now.

As far as the helmet goes, you can replace it with a cheap B grade helmet. All you will lose is the set bonus and a little bit of pdef. It is not a show stopper.

When my WS went from BW heavy to Majestic heavy (about level 67), I noticed very little real difference. I got stunned a less.
Only 5 months? I've been playing for 2 years and I just last week was able to craft my Nightmare heavy main piece...still working on the other parts. Good by, good luck, and good riddance.
