I would like to know if the Garriott brothers play or even hop into Lineage 2 (live servers) and enteract with any of us mortals? I know that Richard has a found memory when he was GMing for UO one time.
If they do or don't I would love to see an event that maybe we could as a community meet one or both of them on the PTS or something. Would be really cool to meet them as they are very respected in the gaming community.

I thought about my own question a bit, and I bet they are just to busy with the "corporate" side of gaming that they rarly get a chance to sit and play their own games. Sad really, you work all your life to create great games and then end up in the end not having time to play them.
Thats why I would never want to progress so much in my career as to be taken out of the things I like to-do. Then again Richard is producing Tabla Rasa(sp) so I guess he kinda has it good in both worlds I assume.

Rainz 1 shotted lord brittish... his account got banned... they claimed it was for other things though... good old rainz is a legend imo, and the reason I love pkers.

I believe they have played Lineage II before, but at this time we don't have any plans for an in-game Meet and Greet-type event on the live or PTS servers. Members of Lineage II team do play the game regularly.
Cool, I do remember back at E3 when they had that listen and win contest, Richard was talking about how he liked the dwarf class a lot in Lineage 2. [I am one of the winners of that contest, and was a question asked]
It gets you thinking that yes the L2 team plays steath toons [ can't devulge there real ID, or who they work for ] and all have you ever PKed one of them.
I think Sarge, said she was tempted once to get on her GM account and smite a person. Of course she couldn't, but it crossed her mind.
Also how hard is it to keep your personal Idenity secret? I am involved with my clan a lot and know each and everyone of them personally. All I have to say it must be very hard to-do as a GM or L2 Team member.

I often have to keep myself from typing things like "Please send in a report to http://support.lineage2.com" or "Please visit the official web site for more information". Habits are hard to break! :D
And I've been PKed plenty of times... almost always when I get up to grab the laundry!

Well, Richard Garriot aka "Lord British" is the creator of the Ultima universe and it's games which feature the "avatar" (player) and his adventures in the Ultima world.
Richard Garriott was the guy who created Ultima Online which is considered by many to be the first major & mainstream MMORPG game. Everquest came after it. As did DAoC, Lineage, AC, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, and the list of about 1000000 other games.
Garriott left Origin and had something to do with Lineage there for a while (if I remember right). I'm not sure what his financial/business ties are now but he is creating a new MMORPG called Tabula Rasa. Some sci-fi MMORPG which claims to be unique. Time will tell.
I assume his brother makes them the Garriott Bros. I don't know of him though.
Garriott played his alter-ego when Ultima Online (UO) was first released called Lord British. During beta, a player named Rainz managed to actually kill Lord British which was supposed to be impossible, during some player gathering. I forget the exact method he used. Had something to do with a last target macro. Anyway. As someone stated in this thread, Rainz was banned and Origin and UO claimed it was for other reasons such as exploiting bugs during beta, which probabaly isn't far from the truth.
Honestly. Rainz PKing of Lord British was the first "major" PK by any person in the new age of MMORPGs so it was a big deal to the gaming community who was familiar with it. Ultima Online followed and ended up being one of the greatest MMORPGs to ever exist (although extremely chaotic it's first year of release). It still remains my favorite game of all time and I still don't feel any MMORPG has been able to capture the community feel and the skill-based PvP system that UO had. PKing and Anti-PKing will never see days like they did back then. Fun stuff.
Garriott left Origin though when EA Games bought them. I don't think the character of Lord British or his nemesis Lord Blackthorn have made in game appearances in a number of years. I'm not even sure they can.

Richard Garriot made an appearance in Lineage 1 as LordBritish in two different events: one was the opening of the Heine castle where LordBritish was attempted to be PKed and was made to venz (equivilent to a bsoe), but if he was killed or not is still considered a rumor. The other instance was the opening of the collesium, in which he showed off the size of it by spawning monsters and having them fight eachother. Such highlites include an army of skeletons vs. an army of ghouls, death knight vs. baphoment, and antharas vs. valakas vs. fafurion. :)

I wonder if mir is still going, i quit mir2 when mir3 came out, then decided mir3 was ballz. Went back to mir2 and went red hit guards on purpose so all the noobs could get my wares, what was funny was some lvl 15 scrub got my D-slayer then got ganked and dropped it, poor guy. If mir4 came out i would so play that :D screw lineage.
