DE get BTM and reg elves get ???

So I have a lv25 DE wiz and I love BTM. Before having BTM it was a nightmare resting my 600+ mana pool. I would simply turn on the TV and watch it for a long time till it regen. Anyhow now I made a ElvMystic currently at 18 and pondering whether i should even continue. I was looking at the skils and didn't see BTM only alot of different mana recovery skills that seem passive. Am just wondering how bad is it to level pass 25-40 with no BTM? I just want to compare with DE bcuz right now I am happy with the minimal downtime I get with Darkwiz. So any ElfMystics that can comment on how bad or good your mana regen is without BTM thx. I just don't want to play a class where i can go buckwild for 5 minutes then sit 10 min.

PS. So far Darkwiz FTW :P
I don't think you want an Elf. Other than the passives, which honestly are nice, they get Mana Regeneration: uses Spirit Ore to pretend you're getting MP faster, apparently not really enough MP for Spellsingers to care.

In general terms, an Elf is faster, but requires more MP to do the same things as a Human or Dark Elf. MP management is going to be your little personal nightmare as one, if you're that against downtime ;)

So takes twice as long to kill a mob bcuz they do less dmg = burn through your mana quicker = sit down 10min x2 = THE SUX LOL

Thank you for your feedback.
Close, everything but the "takes twice as long to kill a mob"--SpS cast significantly faster than SH.

More casts, burning your mana faster because of it, and less in the way of MP management, though...umm...did I mention you cast fast?
You can play a SH without any downtime if you play smart. My brother plays one but needed a SE recharger on 2nd account after level 40. But even without recharger it's not bad.

I play an Elven Wizard as twink. She has to sit often, sure. But it's for relaxed soloing without much danger to die. Even if she pulls several mobs. A big difference to my main. The Spellsingers I know play in groups. They use TS or chat while their mana is down or carry a weapon to hit some mobs. So it comes down to a different playstyle than SHs.
Light Elves get... to sit and meditate on the meaning of life...
(It's 42...)

I suggest if you are levelling a spellsinger without an SE/EE that you bring a good book...

If you are levelling pre - 4x ironman... don't forget to summon your silly pet when you can...

Yes, the pet is fruity and takes 30% XP... but regens your mana.

Kill stuff until you are almost out of mana (enough to summon pet) then summon unicorn and have it regen you between killing another mob... (the pet will own whites by itself without spiritshots)

You will kill more than 30% faster if you find the right spot with good spawn...

Granted you can only have it up every so often.... and people will laugh at you because it is extremely fruity looking.
(Male light elves + unicorn is just wrong... where's my water elemental?)

However, the Boxer is quite good at increasing mana flow AND killrate while you can have it out.

The boxer's mana recharge will start being useles as you exceed its level by larger amounts. Every level past 37 it becomes more and more useless until it doesn't give you any mana.

Mana regen buff gives 1mana/rank every 3 secs.
3 mana/tick is marginally beneficial, (60mana/minute = one extra nuke per minute, but it costs roughly that amount to cast so your first minute only regens the mana you lost by casting it.) but is simply not worth the adena cost it incurs.

Spellsingers do get Clear mind which at rank 3 means walk mode = sit mode. You will still have mana issues unless you bring a recharger.
