i THINK i am pretty much decided on either Tallum Heavy or Majestic Heavy when i hit A grade....BUT i was wondering if there were any glads out there that wear light armor. we do get light armor bonuses as far as increase in p. def and evasion. so i was wondering if so, how is it working out for you? i know that the light armor Nightmare set is great for fighting mages. or so it would seem.
I wouldnt reccomend light armour really, you get better defense and in the end better damage output from heavy. I would suggest Tallum heavy, that 8% speed is a life saver in pvp where you have to charge up focus quickly. Personally i went nightmare heavy because of the sleep/root resistence and the nice bonus to hp and p atk, i love this armour as a pvp set. pvE tho tallum is best, it gives about a 4% p atk bonus from the STR+2 and it has all that beautiful atk speed. Majestic is alrite i guess, but it lacks in defense and resistant to stun isnt that usefull, it does make for a good DD suit tho because it has 4% p atk and STR+2 which is like another 4% on to ur atk.
Get the tallum Heavy man 8% atk speed an get duel kesh another 8% atk speed an when u get 66 duelest spirt then youll have ur own haste2 that stacks with haste 2.Then maybe +5 dex .....scawee speed..... :D

ack ack adack
dude, i cannot even imagine being so fast. imagine the speed.
Speed set ups are good, if you can afford all those soul shots...
It works out to be about the same killing speed and alot cheaper if you go for a p atk build.
NM/Maj heavy with tsu*sls++ ftw imo
well honestly, in A grade, youve got some heavy hitting duals to beginwith. and hunting greens shouldnt take more than a couple hp potions to solo on even without soulshots.
having never played a glad, nor ever intending to, i cant say this with certainty. thats why i say i dont believe you.
i dont want confirmation from a glad in A who tried this setup, nor do i want to belabor the point that i know nothing. im just saying it doesnt sound right that patk would be gimped under this setup.
Its not gimped, its just not as high as with the other set ups. Solo'ing without soul shots at A grade doesnt happen, well actually solo'ing as a gladiator at that level doesnt happen.
Gladiators are all about the parties, solo is for chumps with no friends.
thanks for all the replies. but one of the posts brings up another question...what do you all think about the A grade options as far as duals? i think it is poo that there is no critcal duals :( it makes me want to keep the +8 B grade TSU*SLS duals that i have right now. grant it, the p. atk is lower but the critical rate is awesome on them. so maybe the tallum heavy for the speed and the +8 TSU*SLS will bring up the rear on my p. atk?
Keep those tsu*sls, the SA on those are way better then A grade for xp. You may want some A grade duals for pvp to get the extra dmg but I know alot of BD and Glads that still use OE tsu*sls
