As i make my way around the forums and the server, i hear all these stories and rumors about the 'Server Police' and the
'Anti-Server Police.' Im mostly curious just to hear from both sides as to whos who and whats what. Ive heard every SP'er is an ****** by birth and every Anti-SP'er is an honest gent just trying to have a little fun. I highly doubt this is the case, as people tend to... color, their stories to make them a little more interesting. Anyhow, i would like to hear from both sides, to see what the truth behind all of it is, if any would like to fill me in on it. Would be much appriecated! ^^
well the server police story is a rather complicated one. at one time each member was completely devoted to stopping scammers, bots, and farming of all types, and tried to be one of the wasy new ppl could easily find help.
since those times, server policing has become slack because of all the false bot reporting, false farmer PKing, and many other things.
so the server police decided to farm raid bosses for drops, and ever since, server police (or Aden Police) are seen as petty thugs who would kill you for fun.
in general they became some not-nice people.
thusly the Anti-Server police became the antithesis to the serverpolice.

As it was already pointed out, nothing like "A-SP" exists and never has. Not even "the coalition" included all clans that are now counted towards "A-SP" which is treated like some kind of meta-ally by some. And that was as big as it will ever get in terms of public anti-carebearishness on Erica. However, whenever you see that term now it's usually by SP associates who try to justify SPs actions by generalizing the actions of a few jerks that happen not to be in SP.
And if you think that SP griefing can crush anything, maybe you should consider that this is not a new development... everyone who's not gone by now might probably stick around a while longer. ;) Just remember sometimes the GMs also have influence on server politics. Not nearly as often as I'd like to see it tho.
To answer the question the OP should have asked: There are good players and there are bad players. And they bear all kinds of ally and clan tags.
Just go out and make your own experiences... picking your "side" is pretty easy nowadays, just wander around aimlessly and wait for the first guy to PK or grief you, then associate with the clan that fights them. :p

In SP's eyes there are no random people there is SP and enemies thats all. So Toker is killing enemies. Regardless of how low they are they are still enemies. Low and weak enemies today grow into stronger enemies tomorrow unless we grief em off the server or keep em weak. I train guys 20+ levels lower then me a lot not because I hate lowbies or noobs because its the most efficient. The mobs they are hunting while able to kill them fairly fast take for ever to kill me so if things go wrong I have little chance of dying its called minimal risk! If a group of these that I am training tries to fight back I have little difficulty wiping out a whole group so It keeps them inline and afraid to fight back good for me I want gear not pvp's. And my main goal is adena and gear and while its great to get money its even better to take money away from your enemies! We Win you lose is better then Win Win. This is a pvp game its a competition not a cooperation game!

Except for the parts about Anti SP/Coalition never existing I agree with about all that you said. Since basically the main goal for mostly everyone was the topple SP, the name Anti-SP was given to the force. It was once the coalition, when they acted (or tried to act) as one force against SP, but since BBH crumbled there hasn't been anything to bridge the many alliances that once made up the coalition.
All sides have good and bad people- the ones in power though tend to get the bad rap. The original super power was fought against by who is now the super power for the same reasons as they are being fought against now. Tired of the constant rollovers people chose not to help the new anti SP (Rebellion alliance and/or Avalon alliance) when they were together due to the bad politics that destroyed thier image. Note: The ones fighting SP now are mostly made up of the same players (not necissarily characters) of the people SP threw from the castle control.
When one has to choose between the lesser of two evils, they will ALWAYS go with the one they know what will happen with. As long as there is an Anti SP neutrals are fairly safe from the every day greivings that used to come when there was no opposition.
They still seem to grief the same. I don't know where this whole "SP was anti-farmer" came from, thats pretty silly.
Yes, there are "good and bad" everywhere, depending on your definition of whats good or bad. though of course, the ratio of griefing, random pk'ing and poor behavior does lean towards SP many times over.
But as Phyrra said, just go with the flow, don't worry about server politics until much further up, just get a good clan, enjoy the game and see where it goes.
Considering that the vast majority of people have in some form or another cheated at some point (taken over others characters, ebay'ed, botted, powerleveled or whatnot), thats a pretty pointless label to use now anyway and is at best hypocritical.
I only judge people on how they act in game and towards other, and at this point, I would rather have an ebaying botting nice guy, than have a "clean" [censored].

Most of the people I know that is in rebillion (cept for RF) have boted been boted, p lvled or bot on the side.
OMG you cheeky ......... only a small portion of rebellion hasn't earned their lvls properly. Can I ask you what you are doing in Imperial Tomb every day in that train of untaggerg charechters? I'm sure you're earning honest XP when we chuck the farmers out of the room to go lvl there.

Lionna is the biggest joke, last time we went to lionna we were killing level 60's and we were only level 20's you guys have no clue how to pvp.

Now I dont think that the first sentence in the quote is true. I dont know SP at all and yeah the first time I ran on one of them they pked me, and yes I thought that they were thugs. However, the very next day I had 2 SP members same my sorry behind from mobs, and then sit there and talk to me for a while. Since then I havent had any problems with them. They are very nice people I think. And no Im not in SP. Im in a clan that thinks has a few members that think that SP are bullies, but I know other wise.
Not all SP are bad guys, alot of them are good. there is just also alot of idiots too. I fight SP daily, but none of it is bacause I hate them or want to stop them xping or so on, you have to remember that this is just a game and fighting another team is a good way for cheap, fun pvp.
The main problem with most of SP though is that they will grief lowbies alot and tend not to fight on even odds, bot programs, numbers, levels and so on must all be in their favour before they even attempt to pvp. I personally stay and fight every time unless there are mobs on me even though it is often hard to get xp due to my class being worthless solo and just the same in xp groups.
Overall though you have to remember that SP is one big zerg alliance with alot of bought / leeched / botted indesposeable players, these guys will take castles just to put the taxes to 25% for you to pay. I am on about the general rules with SP, not individual members here. Most will also grief you, steal your gear and give you abuse simply for the pleasure of it. Flip side of the coin though there are alot of good guys in the alliance, i'm prety sure SDog is legit as far as lvling is concerned and is normally a good guy along with a large amount of others like him.
The bad side of SP is not a portion of it's members, it's the rules they stand for and how they treat others. SP used to fight to be the main controllers of stage 11 -12 crystals (kill anyone who tried to kill lilith), they refused to sell the crystals to people on the server and if they did they asked for 250mil+. They trained giran with a raidboss and stole everones gear for fun, they constantly train, grief and pk people for no reason. They strive for control of high lvl hunting grounds where they run bot trains and willl train / pk anyone else that attempts to hunt in that area. They strive to make your experience of the game as bad as they can possibly make it and don't care about the economy or anyone else but SP. CBP is up to 17k in giran if you can find a stiore selling it, who controls the manor system that produces CBP? They exploit it so that they buy all the seeds for bone and CBP then use bots to farm all the seeds, put the reward to max for one day and sell all their crops to make money, SP 1 - entire server - 0. This is what SP stands for as an alliance so if you like being treated like that then more fool you.
Thank you for a detailed explanation on SP, unstead of the usual like "so and so pked me" one. Humm that is very intresting and something worth thinking about.
On a side note: When you think about it, there is always a good side and a bad side. (And of course who is good and who is bad is all realitive thinking). There will always be clans/alliances like SP and ASP. For instance I remember before I left the game for a much needed break there was an alliance named TSA, and before them I think there was a clan?/alliance? named DragonLords (I could be wrong on this but anyways back to topic). Im sure the list could go on and on, but my point is with out people like them I think this server would be really really boreing. They give you a purpose and since of drive and that makes you want to get on and play the game as it was ment to be played grind your butt up so you can pvp(pk) them.
I think I will keep my position on SP until I see other wise. I will approach each member of the alliance as I would anyone I meet on the game with respect and politeness. And like everyone else it will be given unitl it is proven that that person is not worthy.
