Hi.

What are the penalties if I wear C grade armor with lvl 20?

It depends on what class you are and what you are wearing.

In short, there's no really good reason to even try. I tried D on my Ng dorf and could barely hit anything at any time.

I'll tell you the truth. I have a dwarf (lvl20) and I'm thinking wearing karmian armor to increase the MP.

I'll only use it while I'm crafting so I'd like to know if those penalties affect with the craft skill or the MP or the crafting speed or something

He's talking about armor not weapon.
The penalty for wearing armor without having the grade mastery (well the most annoying 1 anyways) is the reduced speed, you'll run SO slowly it won't be bearable. I guess u *could* just have ur c grade armor in your inventory and once u start fighting switch to it ... Unless it also reduces your attk speed ... but i don't know about the reduced attk speed

Oh well in that case, there's no penalty for crafting at all ... u'll just be as slow as a mule when walking in town but who cares? I've used c grade armors on my crafting dwarves when they were in their 20-39

For crafting increased MP regen rates are far, far more valuable than total MP.

So instead of dressing up in Karmian, go level a bit.

It is still really nice to have a huge mp pool if you go afk while waiting for mp regen. Then you dont have to go back to the computer and click the create button as often. :)
I didnt notice any difference in regen speed when i tried a too high grade robe on my crafter. The only penalty is runspeed - so dont put it on until you sit down to start crafting.

It nerfs the crap outa run speed AND attack speed. In short you cant effectivly use out of grade armour to kill a mob, unless you like to hit at 1 mph.

I use a NM robe(A-grade) on a C-grade crafting dwarf just to increase the mp pool(and look **** <3), and it doesnt really effect crafting at all. 1mp less a tick or so I'd say. With 7 rechargers... no problem ^^
