I just noticed today that those nifty Clan Announcements if Enabled can be read by Anyone on the server.
What the..........
What was the brilliant idea behind that thing?
If I wanna turn on a clan notification so that when people log in they get a Pop-Up box with info, why in the hell would I want this information to be so public that's it's server-wide?
I mean literally, go to the Clan Search thing, pick a clan, if they've enabled that thing, then you can read it.
I thought it was a very Nice feature but as is it's stupid and should only be used to spread false Propaganda(which has it's uses too, granted)
Clan Announcement and Clan Notice are different things.
Don't use the Clan Announcement function for private messages to clanmates as this displays beside your clan information in the Community area. Can be used to say what kind of clan you are, who you want to recruit or anything about the clan.
The Clan Notice function popups a window when your members login and this enables you to give your clan members whatever information you desire.
You can't view the Clan Notice's of other clans. You can view the Clan Announcement, because it appears on your clan's Community page.
