So after getting my BD all the way to 46, realizing that after buffing the party life got pretty **** boring, I rerolled as a Plainswalker (or shooting for it anyway). After under a week play time I'm already 25 and loving the hell out of my little elven scout.
I guess my question is this, we all know the L2 interface is a little odd, so any advice on how to maneuver for backstabs in parties? in 1v1 pvp? in siege pvp?
Any general tactical advice would be much appreciated.
As a plainswalker you will find your self to be one of the fastest toons out there and that is your main advantage over others, on non aggro mobs I have found that you can run behind the mob and about that time your party gets to the front of it, then just let them hit first. On agro mobs let a party member draw aggro then run behind and back stab. Dont worry about the others getting aggro if back blow does not change focus to you one of your common criticals will, I have not been in too many pvp situations but if you are not going against a con monster stun shot still has a decent chance at landing so have a bow ready, I have been using a bow with crit bleed and I am liking it so far. Correct me if I am wrong but it seems blessed spirit shots help entangle and once slowed you have the advantage of hit and run, never go blow for blow with anyone, us plains walkers are kind of weak in that department. Having a might mortal dagger helps a lot in pvp but those are super expensive so you may want to go with a critical damage dagger for pvp because we critical the most (even more with +5 dex and the doom light set) but we critical for less so critical damage helps compensate for our weak but fast blows, it even helps damage during specials. One thing if you plan on using your self heal use blessed sprit shots they make the mp:heal ratio not as bad. In siege pvp have a bow because it has been my experience that there are many mages out there just waiting to root a fast little back stabbing elf.
in a party with a good melee tank the tank will take 2 steps back, so the entire party will hit the back of the mob. You shouldn't have to do anything.
main advice to you keep notes on where you are seeing every bot you see in mob infested social agro areas and once you get 40 and the skill fake death come back and train them all. You get to punish others for cheating and honestly other players are the targets with the best drop rates in the game.

I did the same thing, Elven Scout FTW <B :D
My SK rocked but I could never work out how to make a profit using cubics when hunting.
In the Cats you can stand in the hallway and let your aggro magnet pull past you. Use the assist command on your tank to find a quick target, its easier to click on a party member and assist then to try to find a nice back to stab, just make sure you let the mobs run past you.

In parties you will want to just normal attack with Viscious Stance on most of the time. When you get to your high 60's you'll find you are a great tank most of the time for good groups with bd/sws and vr. To get behind people in PvP the only way is to attack someone hitting another target. If the odds are against you, PW is good for running away. In siege PvP your best bet is to get behind and rush the healers or if the opposing side is retreating you can catch up and spam specials.
Warning, these tactics aren't going to win you many pvp. Your bringing a knife to a gun fight. Take care :)
PS: Your going to want to look for the Ant Queen jewelry piece in this event coming up. Good luck on it. And in pvp the best buffs for you are Death Whisper, Haste, Dance of Fire/Fury. Only buffs that effect your skills. And make sure Vicious Stance is on in PvP. Target Robes first.

You are correct. Although I'm not exactly a PW, I do carry bsps and they help. Don't leave the bsps on auto-spam as some of your other skills will also use up your small stash of bsps.
