Yep that's me. Failed the Carnage bow.
Gotha love seeing the work of 5 months gathering mats blow up in your face... and dont forget the Royal Coin member quest.

oke sarcasme of.

I more or less exspected it to fail so I will not whine to much about it since that what people will write reading this thread.
So...
How many of you are allso "proud" members of the failed-60% crafts club? I am asking since it begins to dawn on me that I should never try gathering mats in the first place but get the complete build.
never failed a weapon, SoM, carnage bow x3, element sword but..

failed nm helm 3x, nm boot, nm shield, dc shield

:)
Never failed a craft cause I have never tried one thats 60% lol
I however have never successfully +4 any weapon thank got I don't rely on duals
On hinde, carnage bows are down to as low as 37m. There does come a point when it just isn't worth it to craft. After failing a couple myself, I decided to only try A grade crafts for items I need instead for profit.

At least you had a goal over the last few months. If you are playing for the exp bar, you will find yourself burnt out in a jiffy.

I dont play for profit nor for experiance.. Profit is a ghost I seem to chase away and experiance is only usefull for skills that are needed mostly for other as hunting as an SE is not something I would recommand. I played to get that bow and I did it all on my own. Lvl-ed up a SH in it 40's and keeping it there I may add for the gathering of medusa's/unicorn and wyrns coins to be able to get Lvl1 membership -> royal coin collect -> Kali quest on my healer for that 60%-craft recipe.
I did burn out once or twice tho trying to get all those mats. Left the game for a couple of weeks just to get the courage again to continue. Basically I did even care less about the PvP-part of this game as it would only prolong the agony gathering mats in the first place.

It failed tho and it seems as you wrote that I am better off buying the complete items and not gather mats at all.
You know those coins drop even if the mob is dark blue to you?
DLE, Carnage, DC gloves

Generally I stick with 100% B crafts. Sell, exchange the adena for the A weapon I want. Or, kill Anthras and get yourself a new sword >.>
Sure but dark blue = loosing cash in the long run. So it is better to delevel a toon and keep it in the green range of the coin dropping mobs.
Atleast that what I figured out. Besides I do little damage on my SE in the first place anyway so even darkblue mobs can take some time to kill :-P
I failed a 70% maj necklace.
1st attempt to craft anything other than mats: 60% Soul Bow.

95% my own mats, clan kicked in a few final pieces.

500K to craft at an afk craft shop, no hesitation, just clicked it.

Soul Bow.

Next time, I buy already crafted...what a pain assembling all that junk
Failed: Majestic Earring(70%), SoM, Dasparions Staff, NM robe, BW robe.

Succeeded: Dragon Slayer, Majestic Earring, Majestic Ringx2, Majestic Necklace.

Carnage Bow on Teon was down to 30mil or so, same for Bloody Orchid, easy to buy :)

And 5months to craft 1 weapon? O.o You do know that A-weapon recipes spoil and drop in the new areas? Same for parts. Gotten 8 Bloody Orchid blades in WoA so far and I dont hunt there much.

Took me 3 days to craft Dragon Slayer, about 6 for SoM attempt back in the good ol' C3 days.
I failed at crafting Lineage 2(60%)
Elysian 60% failed
Tallum Tunic Failed
Tallum Plate Success
NM Leather Success
NM Robe (working on it)
Debating if I want to try again on the Elysian, or just save adena till I can afford one with SA.
i dont know what youre all complaining about. i succesfully crafted every Elven earring i attempted.
H4x!
you should always expect a craft to fail
that way you will never be disapointed

2 weeks ago i crafted a maj necklace and ring
expected both to fail
necklace succeded
figured "bargain doesnt matter if the ring fails now"
it succeded ^^
Failed 2x zubei gaiters at 60%. Havent tried anything else since.
failed soul bow 2nd week of c3 ...succeded 2 carnage bows ... failed 5 out of 6 maj earings. made 4 maj necklaces 5 rings . 4 phoenix rings. failed bw helm60%
The list goes on and on ... and yes I am a Warsmith though so its my hobby >.< lol but I am sure if you talk to any of the med and larger clan crafters I am sure they have even more then me of the fail and succes ratio. Saddest thing for me is its like gambling and gets addictive when you do succede a few times in a row lol
Failed A Grade
2 NM Robes
3 NM Helms
2 DEL's
Talimum Plate armor
2 NM Boots
4 Maj Rings
3 MajEarings
5 Maj Necks
2 DC Robes
NM Gloves

and B grade well lets not start on that lol i make the oldest dwarvs cry on bartz when i talk about my fails ^_^
60% Kris, i spent 2 weeks in the same place farmin for hours upon hours to get the rec only to fail it. I love this game T.T

P.S this was in C2, since then i have done nothin 60%
I failed 3 Sword of Miracles.

gfg
Well i have failed TWICE with a 60% Tallum Helm (ouch) and 3rd time was a charm - but I am **** lucky with over enchanting as I took my TSU*SAM up to +16 :)

Pessimism is the way you should do all things in Lineage 2 (Unless you are buying from an NPC).
This is so that you have already thought about what you will do after you have failed....since if you succed you will be better off then when you started thus not having to scrounge around for a weapon or money.

my poin exactlly
i planned for both to fail and was ready to craft again
Failed SoM craft today... kinda sucks being lvl74 sps with only +8 homu. That, and that terrible taste in the mouth after wasting so much money, time and effort on a single, useless click.
yeah kind of a shame that such disheartening elements are a key aspect of the game.

When I made my Dama way back when, I worked to gather up all the mats, worked my butt off, and was rewarded in the end. Was a great feeling.

Im sure if I did the same for my A grade and failed a craft, Id lose it.

Im generaly not the gambling type. Im certainly not gonna work a full time job for a 60% chance to win a paycheck every 2 weeks :P

Im a man who loves a sure thing. Even if I have to pay a little more to get it. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Wow, I finally got that... >.>
So many people don't seem to get just how much of a chance percent is...

Failing 3 crafts straight is a 6.4% chance. Pulling a pocket pair in Texas Holdem is about the same...
2-5 on bw helms
2-6 bw tunic
4-5 zubeis tunic
0-2 great swords :(
3-3 doom boots
4-4 bw gloves
2-4 on zubeis helm ? maybe 2-5
Gonna go for a damascus sword and 1 more great sword after the event. I wont try a grade, to much time and adena for me atm.
Only failed 1 of my 2 60% crafts ^^ gladly never gonna craft any more of em, well except yewely but thats 70% ^^ and not that expensive gladly.

Failed my first Tallum Plate armor sucseeded my second one ^^ gah what i hate the GC quests :)

Now just collect the last mill for me to unseal my set >:)

yeah I guess the issue is, it takes some people months to farm their mats and pieces and recipes. And finaly do the craft. So going through all that 3 times isnt worth it no matter how much the odds start to turn in their favor.
