Ok, as LC has stated earlier, it hasn't changed much since the other time around.
This event reminds me of the "monopoly game at Mc Donald's". There is lots of flavor around the event, but in fact there are 3 key notes to make the fat lady sing... One key "terrain" that makes getting the set horribly difficult.
It's not very original, but still players can get original with this... Now we know you will have 1 week after the letter drops end to turn in for prizes, so this creates a side market based on speculation (kinda like the stock market).
Based on intel provided by offical sources, the II is the most prized key (kinda like "boardwalk" in Monopoly). ROFL ! I PWN boardwalk on the official monopoly board. You can quote me on that.
*taps SirE's hand* Don'T try to touch my II. It's worth GOLD, GOLD I tells ya !
I know the SSSSSSS is the key in NCSoft, so that's second prize, but what is the 3rd keynote for chronicle ?
Bah, who cares. It's low end anyways. N00bZ !
Fast food event, and only a weekend to feed up. Pretty lame... If you ask me.
Your smart enough to correct my mistakes so I know your smart enough to pull the letter from above and place them into the correct combination. I edited my 1st post anyhow in a small effort to appease the ppl who care.
After 5-6 hours of fast killing (nuker) not a single II dropped, 1 A dropped and 1 S. Those are, IMO, the rarest. I've gotten several Gs and a ton of the rest.
I remember this event. The 'rareness' of the letter is determined by how many times it is needed in each of the words plus minor adjustments so that A's and G's aren't as rare as S's R's and II's but at the same time rarer than T's and F's (which give a lesser prize). The order that I've best come up with is....
C---53---------- Div by 3
L----36 --- Div by 2
O---35---- Div by 2
N---31---------- Div by 3
E---30---- ------Div by 3
H---20
I---20-----Div by 2
F---15
R----9
T----7
A----5
II----4
S----4
G----3
LINEAGEII : divide E by 2
CHRONICLE: divide E & C by 2
NCSOFT: all 1
Overall, Divide your letter's number:
- by 3 for: E, N, C
- by 2 for: L, O, I
Taken that into account, N, E, I, don't drop that much, for me that is.
Well, since people have trouble with how this work I'll explain it.
See, it doesn't matter that A is rare, because A is only part of Lineage II, which has a rarer letter II.
So in the end, only R, S and II will matter, because eventually the other letters will be more than the others.
Also a trick to remember, ALWAYS turn in Lineage 2 first, then NCSoft, then Chronicle, since letters are reused.
Yes, this creates a market for those *FEW* rare letters you will find, instead of creating a good market for all letters, which would be more profitable for non-powerplayers. So in the end you have to ask yourself, do you want reward or sell them, instead of, "I have turned in my rewards, I have 2 A's left over, let me sell those to someone needing".
I'm just wondering on a price.... I turned in Ncsoft and Chronicle, but didn't Lineage][. I think i'm going to not turn anymore in and when it comes to the end. I'll stick up some for a million each.
Since the event started I've only been able to turn in Chronicle 2 times. This is with hunting 10-14hours/day in a 9 ppl grp at dvc heart all of us are 70+
Got 1 bsoe and 1 buffscroll. I've given up on getting antqueen ring/turning in more words.
2 II's dropped for me and I sold both of them for 1.7 mill each.
Bought a II for 325k off some poor noob then turned in a LineageII for 3 scrolls of empower, which got sold for 900k.
NCSOFT x 1 -> 2 scrolls of haste
CHRONICLE x 3 -> 1 scroll of focus, 1 BSOE, 1 scroll of agility
Total cash earned from selling letters, 5.3 million and growing not a bad weekend session at all ^^
Whats the purpose of an event if its just another item to put in an AFK sell shop.
Unlike yourself with your billions of adena, people like myself try to make adena anyway they can. And that means playing the L2 letter market.
Oh man I wish I had a billion adena. No I understand what your saying about selling the letters. But this event has turned into a collect and sell event instead of a collect and turn in event. I dont blame you for selling the letters I just think the event is flawed since its better to sell letters than turn them in.
I like to play the events to make adena too. Just wish the rewards were better.
