Any point in playing a rogue?

Hello,
I've been back to the game for about a week or two now.
Pretty sure my main is going to be my Human Knight, however I have been toying with alts.
I made a dark elf, decided I wanted to try the rogue class out.
My question is, why play a rogue?
They're the only class that can only use 1handers and cannot use anything in their secondary slot.
If they put a shield in their offhand, they lose evasion. If they equip duals, they can't use their specials. Same with a 2hander. Why aren't there dual daggers. In other games I've played you simple equip 1 weapon in each slot (of your choice) and you are dual weilding.
I realize this is lineage 2, I'm not wishing it were another game. The mechanics of the rogue make it seem like a class no one would play. Just because of the fact that they have no use for the secondary slot.
Tanks use a 1hander and shield, casters use a book or high m.atk weapon and a shield, archers use a bow which takes both hands. Monks use dual fists, destroyers use 2handers.
There is no other class which does not have a use for the secondary slot. Does this strike anyone else as odd?
Actually the lack of a second slot is an advantage, not a disadvantage. Sure, they lose evasion when wearing a shield, but they have higher evasion than other classes. Sure, other classes have dual/shield abilities, but do they have dagger abilities? No. It just means you won't have to pay as much money in order to be as effective as everyone else.

Also, past 40 rogues can also turn into archers, which are very popular classes to play.
