2 hours seemed a bit short for the respawn time, 5 days seems more likely... but then I also heard that sometimes a group of players doing the quest were able to enter the room one after the other to complete the quest...
It is 5 days min + some hours. You will not waste your rag if you try to get in and he is not up.
You WILL need to have someone wake him up. C4 is different now in that whoever wakes him up WILL die no matter what and you dont get a chance to hit him. So bring a friend or a buffbot that has done the quest. Have them wake him as you go in for the hit with the pippet knife. BSOE then log out the buffbot for like 40 minutes. When you log them back in they should be in Aden and able to get rezzed.

You don't go to Aden. You get ported down to the ground, outside the tower. Well, that's what happens if you don't log out, and just wait for the port. I doubt it's different if you log out.
Yes, they changed it. In C3, you were ported back to Aden - now your corpse just gets thrown down the tower by Baium, and you end up lying on the ground outside TOI.
And yes, the person waking Baium not ALWAYS gets killed automatically, even though the patch notes say so. From about ten "Baium wakings" I heard of so far in C4, nine times the person waking him got hit for enough hit points to kill anybody several times over, but one time a person waking him while fully unequipped (to prevent item drops) got hit for only about 50k (which would have translated into maybe 3-4k equipped). So it seems that Baium usually kills the person waking him, but sometimes this new C4 feature fails and he only uses a normal attack a 75 char could survive quite easily. Better not to risk it, though. Just expect the person waking him to be killed and plan accordingly (i.e. not have somebody who needs to poke Baium wake him, but instead have a helper do it).
I used my se to wake him, then backed off. I was closer when he actually got up. My se was safe, until after I bsoe. His first attack on me, fuly buffed bishop, was for 619 dmg. The angels hit my SE lvl 62 for 187 dmg, and she got the same dmg from baium after I left. If I was thinking, I should have just logged her off after waking him.
Respawn is 5.5 days, and you cannot target him from his door. Go down to where cherub galaxia is and make a macro.
