2 years and the same old problem

I started playing in closed beta, once open hit we had the problem of full servers. 2 years down the road 8 servers more. We still have the same old problem.

Great Job NCsoft! (no joke)

Full servers mean the game is not dying but is growing. That is a good sign.
I agree that the server full status is a good thing. At 3 am pacific Devainne is too full for me to get in. It could be all the Farmers trying to get as many letters as they can before there event ends.

I do think it's time for another server. I prefure a relaxed one with controled hours. But I'd move to any new server with full PVP. Even a Euro one. At least I could make every siege.
Oh and by the way, does any one think the "Temporary event server" is new property allowed by NC Korea? Mybe after the event it will become a dedicated server!!!

or used for future events....

well I'd guess the event server couldn't handle nearly the load of a regular server... prolly not even as much as the pts
Maybe if they ban those fishing bots we will have some room. Tons of them in giran lol. Pathetic to even see such a thing.

Growth beyond your capacity, however, will kill a game off. That is why people call it a bad sign. I'm very happy that the playerbase has grown. However, NC simply wasn't ready for that growth, and every day they lose the players they've been working to gain. Old customers are suspending their rebilling, which is a temporary problem, but new players cancel entirely and never come back.

Look at what it would be to a new player, though:
I buy the game. I spend all day updating it. I try to log in. I fail. I try again, fail again. Try again, fail again. After 20 minutes of this, I finally get in. My potions and soulshots don't work half the time, monsters aren't always where they appear to be, etc.
...do I turn around and say "why yes, I would pay $15/month for this" or do I say "oh well, only $15 wasted to try it out, guess I'll go play something else"?

Old players say "it wasn't always this bad, I'll just wait it out"; New players leave with a bad taste in their mouths and are soured to the game thereafter...as are their friends, who hear "don't bother, Lineage 2 doesn't work anyway".

Lots of new people are a good thing. Servers that are "way beyond heavy", and thus aren't letting paying customers play and are performing extremely poorly for the people who make it, though...that's a killer, because they aren't going to keep shelling out for a product that doesn't live up to expectations.

well that depends on the servers are full of what? *wink wink* :p
