Raising a Cougar

I'm thinking of raising a cougar, i simply love the looks of em and ive heard they're quite useful to have by yer side since they do certain buffs :D
Can anyone experienced tell me about the cougar, what benefits does it have? And how much does things cost... food, armor (?), scrolls (?) etc.?
They dont buff, just so you know
There are pets that buff, but they are not permanent and you have to be 60+ to do the quest that gets one. The time they stay with you is variable and so for what you want, I don't think they are it.

I love the pets, for some classes the heal is just enough to keep you constantly fighting and if you are careful with it (since the one-hit dying thing is annoying) they are a huge benefit to classes that want to level slower, for SP, adena or spoilage.
It's the larger versions from beast farm (60th area) who give buffs.
Ahh, I see. Thx for the help ppl :)
Think I'm gonna have a Cougar then. I like to have some cute company, and I could pay for it... hey why do I sound like I wanted go to hooters? ;o
where do i get the quest for the beast farm? and is it hard to do?
Bring Up With Love 65 Beast Farm (Beast Herder Tunatun)

I have not done this one so I can't answer the 'hard' part.

where do i get the quest for the beast farm? and is it hard to do?

If you got sleep, or someone with sleep to help you it will be easy. The baby mob when you use food on the starts growing (for 1/2hp to 1x hp and up) and attacking you at a same time. Then after a 4th feeding or something they ether become your's buffslave or turn 5x and attack you. Sleep makes it so it can't attack you.
thanks...how long do they buff you for? and once they are done...do they attack you or just disapear?
They buff regular (20min buff, they also heal or recharge, most likely based on if you are mystic/fighter), they stay randm amount of time. When they leave they just leave and dont attack. they also disapear when you disconect.
That is ashame. In Lin1, you could cast a spell and if you could tame the beast, any beast in the land that was tameable, you had it for quite a while. Now, it didn't buff or anything, but those attacks were the bomb. The best thing was though, taking them to town and releaseing them from the tame, they would go aggro and start attacking in town. Needless to say, you didn't go AFK in town in lin1 much :)
