Was very excited b4 the event - wasn't playing this time last year, so was new to me. Logged in within 3 hours of the start (9am my time), hunted like a madman for hours...lots of letters, but no IIs.
In fact 12 hours hunting a day for first three days yielded the grand total of zero. Yesterday I thought the tide had turned - I got 2 - woo-hoo! But this proved the typical L2 false dawn - a marathon 24 hour session, spent largely at FotD and ending an hour b4 shutdown - failed to produce a single additional II :*(
Obviously I accumulated a plethora of the other letters, a handful of S's and R's included (tho not that many really), so headed back to Giran to buy to make as many words as possible (must've made over 100 total). And guess what? Buffs, buffs, buffs, bsoe, buffs, brez, buffs, 4 ew-b, 6 ew-c, yet more buffs. Not a sniff of a jewel or ew-a. On the pumpkin event I made about 120m over time (still got 36 ea-c if anyone interested ;) Medals I got 8 red masks, the last of which I sold for 15m (having bought medals at scandalously low prices ><
So this was payback, big style. Hardly any II drops, about 8 S's, maybe 12 Rs, and over 20m spent in the pursuit of the unattainable jewellery. As we all know, L2 is a gambling game above all else, and on this occasion I lost out. Bah.
As a sidenote tho, and nothing new here when it comes to events, but didn't it make u sick seeing the humanoids offering IIs by the 100 in their stores? No legitimate player could possibly amass such numbers - ******it, I tried hard enough, and look how many I got! These events must give NCsoft irrefutable evidence of botism and allow them to root out such accounts, but I'm not holding my breath.
GG NCsoft for the event, even tho I took a big hit on this one. At least it gave me the incentive to blast my way from 69-70 in 5 days, something which would never have happened normally.

I missed the pumpkin event as I was on one of many 'breaks from L2'.
This event I decided to farm using a dagger with full buffs. He went from 45.2 to the verge of 53 soloing green and light blue mobs.
Oddly I hardly had any letter 'R', but plenty of 'II' and 'S'.
Total gained from this event is:
16 BRES
44 BSOE
43 Empower Scrolls
4 EW-C
4 EW-B
At least 100 other less valuable scrolls.
Nowhere near the 120m OP experience from the Pumpkin event, but this will help me finish my A grade set nicely.
Just need to sell it all now...

in your opinion i must be the luckiest guy overall with 8x II, 4x S, 8x G, 16x A and 12x R.
that was from max. 16h playing at the event. and not only farming ... more raiding.
so yes i must be a lucky guy ... BUT omg the best i got is 1 brezz
and 13 bsoe (anyone needs?~~) and 1 usefull emp scroll
and the rest was shield3 or guidance3 scrolls ...
After four days of pretty consistent farming for letters Plunder and I amassed a total of 3 - IIs, and a bunch of other letters. We probably turned in 3 - Lineage IIs, 5 - NCSofts, and 10 - Chronicles. No EA or EW scrolls, I think we got 1 empower scroll total, 1 acumen scroll. A couple of BREZ and about 8 BSOE. I kinda sucked. Although for my 3 LineageIIs I have 9 beautiful Agility scrolls. Woot agility for the win. We made out better in last year's event, and it seemed like the letter drop this year was less than the previous one. Last year we ended with a bunch of EA/EW scrolls, this year nuffin.
Oh well was a fun event anyways. We're never going to be mass millionaires in this game, so what the hey, just play for the fun of it.
I was. :) If we were, Gryphon-N-Phoenix would have a clan hall in Giran, but as we are what we are, we'll just sit happily in Giran and take everyone's money at 25, 50, 100 adena a pop. Thanks to everyone for their continued custom. All I've ever wanted was enough to have the gear I need to play.

Oh... Hehe... Yeah I did keep attacking Arschesnei. We were having a fun war between Sacred and Gryphon-N-Phoenix, since we used to be in the same alliance, but aren't at the moment. It was all in fun, because I was the only one who died and lost 5% in running up to certain death in TOI. So it wasn't tough love, it was the one day that Azeiha has played in like 3 weeks, and so it was a lighthearted attempt to remind him of the fun we used to have.

I turned in LineageII twice and NCSoft once. Got a whopping 6 BSOE's and 3 Death Whisper scrolls. The only thing more useless to an EE would have maybe been if they were Might scrolls instead.....
I'm not usually one to complain on the boards, but seems like this event was a bust. Doesn't seem like it gave many cause to celebrate the 2 year anniversary, even for those of us that have hung in here the whole 2 years. I like the idea of the letter collecting events, but maybe next time turn up the rewards a bit to make it actually worthwhile.

I gotta admit though, I'd like to see them really ramp it up.. so people are scared to SOE to town, and so it feels like we're really being attacked. Instead of it just being a race to see who can find the minions and bosses first.
I want a freaking army of 2k minions lead by 8 regular raid bosses and freaking Baium for the general.. putting Aden on lockdown. (note.. only if they can do something to prevent gear droppage would this really be alot of fun..)

Are those farmers still a big problem? I haven't seen many threads whineing about them lately so is it safe to say the problem has gone down or are they still ninja taking all the RB's?
I always thought it would be fun to have a server reset, and stop the mob respawns for a day, and the servers try to clean aden in a 24 hour period or something. Once you kill a mob, its gone. Would be fun to do this combined with the army idea. Just take all the friggen mobs and have them on a set path leading from town to town in waves until we destroy the whole mass. Would be a blast lol

2 nights ago I was at Cursed village for dead on midnight game time. Within seconds about 4 parties of LS/RR were there. A few seconds later the RB and his minions were dead ^^
when they farm evry RB ... where is my cheap DC helmet ? didnt see any in shops...
they should make event like on PTS chaos week ;)
full weapon drops with SA on, so much EW scrolls u want, to plus evrything ..
or a RED nose day event .. 1 day pking bots without gettin karma Oo
