Maintainence over - Why is Erica Dawn still broke

Last period Dawn had seal of Gnosis. In this period Dawn won with a 32% vote for Gnosis. Since we only needed 10% to retain it, why dont we have it?

This was posted in player questions, but got no response from NCSoft. You guys need to wake up.

We are well into the second day, and still not even an acknowledgement from NCSoft of a screwup, let alone a fix.

We were never informed that we could not "retain" the seals. Everyone on Erica was taken by surprise. So you are wrong. It is an NCSoft screwup.

I signed up for Dawn with several characters. I just arbitrarily picked Avarice or Gnosis, knowing that both seals were over 10%. There was no reason to suspect seal ownership was reset. Where is there such a warning from NCSoft?

"The competition and seal validation periods for the Seven Signs will be changed on all servers.'

The word reset is not used. No hint that a time change would invalidate seal ownership.

But what is worse it that there is not even an "we will check it out" from NCSoft.

I find it more dishearting that the players are so stupid that they don't know how it works or whats importent to have.

We have had 7 signs for a year now, and players don't understand why there is no blacksmith when the genosis didn't win/retain the seal.

I think the dusk/dawn thing should be disbanded and removed It sucks and no one ever competes anymore anyways. Seriously once or twice a chronicle a bunch of guys try to offset things and win it for the other side causing minor crumbling and a little inconvienece then its forgotten and everyone expects to win again. Or like me you simply think its all crap and just get one toon signed up on both sides then you don't have to waste you time hunting in those [censored] places and can still reap the rewards others worked for.

Agreed, it's a terrible competition. Being debuffed, getting kicked out of hunting areas, and losing access to the trader and blacksmith over a game mechanic is stupid.

Does anyone know if it works like intended in other countries? I mean is Korea happy with it? Chances are pretty good if the majority of other countries are happy, it's not going to change.

We actually dont need strife. That allows the castle owners to raise taxes above 15%. If Dawn ever gets strife again, they will have it forever. In that case, taxes will rise to 25% for most castles.

Try not to call others stupid when you're wrong.

If dawn/dusk held a seal in the prior week, 10% is required to regain that seal.

In that way the game mechanics are set up so it is possible to own all three seals at the same time.

So, please don't call players "stupid" for a lack of understanding of the game mechanics that is actually yours.
