Can someone tell me more about this game-element? ^^
It's quite useful to boost certain stats that you lack many points of, depending on race and so on.
I'm lvl20 Orc Raider, and I find DEX as prime for my choice of Dye. But should I go with Dex+1 Str-2 or Dex+1 Con-2?
Don't bother with dyes until you're 40. Any dyes you get before then stop working after you get your second class.
As for dyes I like to increase my strong points, so in case of Destroyer I'd kill my Dex (-8) to create hulking juggernaught (+4 Con +4 Str), but I have crazy ideas so don't pay any attention ;)

Lol I always try to compensate my worse stats, and Orcs really suck in Dex lol. Hum... you say they stop working at lvl40? Well aint it worth it at 20lvls? :o
no dyes are not worth it below 40 imo, you will be lvl 40 fairly fast. Dyes you get after 40 will last you untill 78. Don't know much about orcs so cant comment on what dyes to take.
Get the greater dyes, which are +1 dex -1con for example. Thatw ay you dont lose any stats.
As a Orc you have 47 CON, thats freakin loads, you dont need all that unless you PvP alot. I would get a -4CON +4DEX/STR dye. But wait untill level 40, otherwise your wasting your money.

One thing to keep in mind is that stat changes are affected by your base stats.
This means that raising your lowest stat is going to have less of an effect per point than a class which has a higher amount of that stat to begin with.
This also means conversely, that reducing your lowest stat has less of a detrimental effect than if that stat was your highest to begin with. i.e. A LE will be hurt more by -8 DEX than an Orc would.
You also get an additional bonus if you take a high stat higher. (I think 40 is the break point.) So a +4 STR Orc would likely see a greater increase in damage % than a +8 STR Light Elf or Human. There is however, to my knowledge, not a higher penalty for going lower than a certain point on any stat.
Orcs and Humans have the same base STR, so the increase in your theory would be indentical for each race.
For Orc/Human fighters that would be true. For the mages it would be different. (Orc mages have more STR than Human ones.) -I play an Overlord, so it was easy to forget that the fighters both had the same STR.
I'm also going from some old information that is known to be out of date, so it's possible that the underlying %'s have changed. (ie. When the stats were first re-adjusted to human base, some stats were given 'hidden' bumps to even things out. Like the Elves HP. -No exact details were given so it's hard to say exactly what was all done.)
