im in the catacomb of dark omens trying trying to get in. im a level 27 character, and have gotten the quest, but he wont teleport me inside. so how do i get in?

First, it has to be a competition period, and second you have to sign of for either dusk or dawn in town at one of the dusk/dawn priests. Dusk is free to sign up for, where as dawn you either need to be in a castle owning clan/alliance, pay 50k adena, or have a dawn certificate from a castle lord.

If you want to xp, Dark Omens isn't for you, for many, many levels. Find a 30+ cata/necro instead. (Can't remember which ones are 30+)

Pilgrims Necropolis and Heretics Catacomb. They are quite close together so you can look for groups at both places in turn.

It may be because your on the wrong team, this cycle on bartz a clan ninja'd dusk and took us all by surprise..even the bots were left knocking on the door.

Heretics is 20+, so that may be too low, unless you go deep.

actually dark omens is 20+, champa..
but lowest lvl mobs in heretics are 30...

NoS is the lowest lvl necropolis.

Not 40, pre-second class change is free.

Heh, I guess you could say that, technically, but Dark Omens is also 70+.
I went to have a look at the listing, and you're right, Heretics is 30+. I apologise. I was just sure, I'd seen white mobs there, when I was in my early 20s.

I guess then you were in Necropolis of Sacrifice. That is the only catacomb/necropolis lvl 20+ in the game.
