Orc warcrier / Orc overlord / Human Prophet / Elven Elder / Shillen Elder are the main buffers, you then get classes such as BladeDancer , SwordSinger and the summoners, which can provide short lasting buffs. There is no "best" buffer, but the most popular one is usually the Prophet, followed closely by the SE. It all depends on who you want to buff, and what you want to buff.
Ork mystics, althought they grow into full power later on can do other things but buffing. So if you whant westality you should look at those. My WC now (mid 40th) is not as much a buffer but a fighter, she does good damage and can tank prety good.
I disagree, you might be able to target well and solo fine. Tanking is another issue.
Since you are new to the game OP, review the skills list on the toons, and feel free to ask questions about what the skills do. Then you can decide how you want to make your toons.
Well, I have both an orc mystic and a dark elf mystic. I was planning to go with the dark elf mystic, because I could not find any res spell anywhere for orcs. Also, it seems that orcs have no skills to heal others with. I'll probably go with my dark elf becoming SE, but I would have to say that the orc is more fun to play solo with. He has a wider variety of skills like life drain, chill flame, and dreaming spirit, whereas the only real skill I've used with my dark elf so far is Wind Strike.
My ultimate goal is to be the buffer/healer for my friend, who is playing orc fighter, so I'm thinking that probably SE is better for that. Comments?
Orcs have Chant of Life and later on OL has Heart of Paagrio that heals the whole alliance. But no direct 1 person heals ye. Except for a CP heal on the OL but thats pretty high lvls.
If you wanna duo with your friend, the SE will come in handy as it gets VR earlier and has access to all the necessary combat buffs, excluding haste that you can buy in a bottle. A Warcryer on the other hand gets haste and VR, but at later lvls so you'd need to lvl some time before getting all out of the toon.
WC at high lvls is a better buffer as it has haste and it can deal nice dmg too so it fits perfectly in small groups/duos. Only minus point is the lack of WW buff and 1 person heals. And the fact that it uses alot of mp for buffing as the buffs are party wide.
Either one is good for duoing with a orc fighter, so pick the one you like more.
