I read the ifo on this site but I'm wondering what does the baby pets do do they reg HP or MP? it doesn't mention that and if I don't do the quest but someone is selling a baby pet can I still purchase it and use it?
Baby pets regen your HP a little at a time once you get to about 80% hp. They do nothing for MP. Cost about 500k if you run the quest, which is very, very easy.
I have not raised a wolf, but my understanding is raising one will be difficult with ranged character. They need to do damage to level (unlike the baby pets which just take 10% XP). They die easily so you need a character that can keep agro while the wolf does the damage. Usually tank classes have the most success raising wolves, but there are exceptions.
All pets are not easy to raise. They all die easily and you risk losing them if they are not rezzed fast enough. They are expensive to maintain.
You've posted asking about a lot of different weapons, which leads me to believe you are still tryin to figure out what kind of character you want to play in the end. I don't know if you have a tank class or not. Although I love pets, I just like them, not because they add an advantage leveling. Not to say they can't, eventually, but they are a LOT of work.

y elven scout is for sure going silver ranger and I just made the dicision to stick to just a bow I like it so much better even if it is expensive heh and I really want to have a pet I just kinda want to know which out ofthe baby pets should I should raise or it doesn't really matter b/c they all do the same thing?
