When I double click on the game, this message comes up.

It was working fine before. And the new graphic card really turned up the juice, and then....

Did the game crash out or something?

This crap happened to me a few times now.

Out of the blue, my Video Card drivers are rendered useless. Why in the hell, I don't know. They just did. This crap happened to me 3 times now.

Solution:
1) Re-Install the Drivers to your Video Card.

2) Go to the Video card's manufacturers website and update the drivers.

3) Reboot.

Start L2 and go Sacrifice a Dark Elf to keep this from happening to you again.

My comment about DE Sacrifice was a joke, guess it didn't come across as one :(

always keep ur pc up-to-date..

old drivers are usual the main problem when u get a problem..

Try deleting your lineage2\SYSTEM folder (system folder only) and do a full check. It will reset all your settings to default and re-download that folder which is only like 10 meg.
