When do the winners of the olympiad get to become heroes?
At the moment it just says The results for the olympiad matches still need to be compiled wait till this afternoon...
Im guessing it isnt afternoon in game because it is 8:00pm in game and still nothing is it tommorow afternoon?
Yea seriously whats up with this

Test server people were instantly heros

Why announce it but not let us go already? the new period has already started, Hurry up gms!
keep in mind that test server time periods were accelerated by a factor of 15.
Just another flaw in q&a methods of pts >_>
April fools - no heros :)DD
5 on Teon now.
I believe the winners (if you can call them that) have to collect their Hero status from the NPC before they pop up as a Hero.

There are probably not many Heroes around cause they are online yet.
Well seems teon has there heroes and Other servers still waiting to be able to become heroes from the npc... at least on bartz.
Probably the time on Teon is based on European time where as the other servers are based on American time. Is likely to just be a matter of waiting a few hours to hit the same time in CST.

What that time is I have no idea, but probably soon enough.
Might be... but **** that hero chat is annoying. "Pwned j000" spammed globally is kinda childish... But cool looking weapons and all, hoho.
Hindmeith has 0 heros.... and near 12 ppl competed whats wrong?
Well if the Hero system is indeed broken and will delay the competitions a few months I certainly wont complain even if it deprives me of becoming a hero.

The whole thing would be far better if there was actual competition instead of rampant match fixing.

Fortunately, you can turn off hero chat. :D
Hero system isnt broken, theres about 8 of em on bartz atm, talking random rubbish in hero chat, had 2 turn it off cos it was annoying.

As soon as C4 was loaded, the first thing I did was turn Hero chat off.
I actually turned it on just to see how much they spam it >.>
We have a few heros on Devianne, maybe yours just haven't logged in.

Yeah, I just checked Hndemith again and nothing.

I wouldn't know. It's turned off (points to previous post).

You can turn it off, but if your smart you'll leave it on for at least one chat view.

Why? there are some heroes that plan to use it (like me for example) to report things the server is interested in, info coming from ally re: mammon locations, the times when noblesse are playing hero matches because we tend to set ccertain days (many many spectators bug me about doing this), raid boss pops including subclass RB pops, sale of valuable items (not spammed, just interesting/sought after ones), even global requests to obtain party members (which is very handy).

So, you can turn it off, but there are some benefits there.

14 people competed and were eligable to win hero status

12 heros

9 in the same clan 2 more in the same alliance.

Out of the 14 people eligable only 1 was from outside covenant

Is this really what the hero competition was intented for? To put the people on top further ahead and give them more advantages then already have.

Turned hero chat off since its like listening to has a bigger contest
I imagine that as more people are eligible to compete, you will get better outcomes.

Nope, still not seeing one. I usually have trade and shout off as well.

Unfortunately there are not many people who are like you who have Hero status. It's common knowledge amongst the playerbases on all servers that the majority of their heroes don't actually deserve to be there. With the possible of Bartz as they seem to have had a better competition than most.

If more Hero's used their ability to chat to the entire server in the ways you plan too I'm sure the chat wouldn't get turned off. Unfortunately I doubt that many will bother.
On Lionna, there are reports of people abusing the hero system, logging off or having too much in their inventory so they didn't have to compete against those they didn't want to. By doing this they were able to shut out many people not in their alliance (the non-ally people weren't able to get enough points since no one would fight them) and consequently something like 14 out of 16 heroes on our server are from the same ally.

I'm not positive if that's all true, but if it is, it seems almost like an exploit to me - if not an exploit, then just downright dirty. The point of having these competitions is to find who's the best of a certain class - if they refuse to allow certain players to compete, then they can't say with 100% certainty that they're the best. That's like saying that black players can't play in the NBA. Or that the Olympics is only for people from Europe and Asia. Just stupid.

And how do they know who they are going to fight against? You can't see your opponent before you're inside the arena and then its to late to log off.
Well given the fact that this alliance pretty much is connected with every information source available...they would know who's competing and who isn't a long time before anyone else.
