I truely believe we do not have hero's but that's just me.
Even before the system was introduced I failed to believe. It's a great add-on for sure but even before the introduction we allready discussed the merits of this feature in various threads.
It is indeed too bad the way it worked out. I believe that Ncsoft did alot of work but may have overlooked the presistance of people not willing to play by the book.
In the end I hope this gets straightend out, maybe not tomorrow but I surely believe before the end of this game (don't make me eat my words here Ncsoft).
Suggestion.. let's move on and skip this thread it is after all old news.
only reason why we have the current heros is because of the lack of competition. just wait til everyone catches up then thats when "hero" status will be more respectable...

YES I DID. OF COURSE I DID. They should make a setting so that only hearos can fight other heros or hero eligable cannidates in pvp situations. Having a hero pown b graders even low lvl a graders is kind of pointless. In the end its just an excuse to have people flunt thier r/l money around saying look what you can get for 2k euros/dollors/whatever. I am better than u.

you could prolly instaban anyone who is 76/75/75 but i think a fair percentage of the 70+ could be legit (not counting ebay obviously alotta ppl do that)
anyway we can all agree hero is a pretty poor choice of title, word is only 1 hero on our server is legit :/
honestly i don't see what the problem is as far as the pvp goes, hero's arn't that much stronger compared to a normal person of equal level. really the only difference is the special hero armor and few skills which are more seige based. if your lower level and get pwned by a hero, don't think of it as being pwned by a hero, think of it as being pwned by a higher lvl, which is naturally going to happen. i myself am looking forward to pwning some heros, if they truly dont' know their class and were pl'ed to the top, i'll find that out easily.

Lawl i don't see any hero atm that doesn't know how to play their classes well. Im not surprised to see ppl dissing the heroes, shiet like this happens whenever ppl see some post about high lvl players. Envy much??

MORON!! also i think people should be aloud to flame a bunch of botters and people that got PL'd only to disgrace the highest position in the game. gm's ban people like hugo for talking about programs and then they let OZ/apocalyptic (oldest organized botters on the server) become heros. its not that hard to check old log in files.. so all we have left to do is flame :mad:

I can promise you one thing, all those apocalyptic heros were not botted or PL'd before. everyone knows how hardcore firm & goju are and if you knew the cools you know they don't bot. These "babies" are one of the oldest farmers around and you be surprised at the countless # of ppl who trust/trusted the cools.

Yet these same ppl are not doing much against aggressive farmers such as Lightsword, who take raid bosses, prevent regular players from getting geared and annoys the hell out of everyone.

Because Toxicity paled in comparison to MagicSword. As for no one doing anything, I just have to ask.. Where is Toxicity now?

Think you got me wrong, Im not here to complaine about LS, I just pointing out that ppl are flaming cools for making hero when they been helpfull and nice to all. Most of these ppl never talked or even know the cools, most of their knowledge are through hearsay.
As for Tox, my position same as mugix2. And agree w/ bighand on that Tox is not as bad as LS in terms of the # of bosses they kill.

As I recall, the story was that the Cools got their accounts as kind of a "thanks" from the boss, and they got some free LAN time to play in exchange for the work they put in. It's just the story I heard told, so it may or may not be true.
I do no that those Coolbabies were played 24/7 for a good many months, and that the original farmer clan they belonged too could be quite aggressive, which is why a good many people found it to be quite distasteful when they joined a real player clan. They had to have been some of the first farmers to join a real player clan.

When was this? Because like I stated before they joined us way back in c1 and were untagged when we befriended them. I know there were some coolbaby instances in cruma but that is going so far back its sick. I don't know your gaming history in this game but these things probably happend long before you and many others were on this server.

I started playing in OB, a month before the game went retail, (First week in March was my 2 yr anniversary), so yeah I go back pretty far. Certainly some stuff occured before I started playing, but it wasn't long before. I think I started playing L2 only a week or two after Gustin was brought online.
Unfortunately the threads that contained the rather heated discussions about farmers joining a real clan are all gone now, otherwise we could go back and look.
You're right though, it is ancient history, but someone did ask for the history, so I gave it.
The info about them getting their accounts came from someone who was defending them being allowed to join a real clan, I don't recall exactly who it was.
Lastly, for the most part the old school farmers were much much much more hated than the farmers are now, because they were an aggressive bunch of griefing pricks, and if you went red on them back then you were most likely going to lose your gear over it unless you had heavy backup. Remember those days, when there was no such thing as a third party proggie, and everyone of them was actually a person at the wheel? I still hate that **** greenapple, although the person who played him on second shift was a decent fellow, the first shift player was a major *****.

Most of them have joined other major clans/alliances. We had a list of known Toxicity people, and it's funny to watch them normalize into other clans.
Would jsut like to vouch, coolbabies and firm were all played and have always been played. not to mention they have got to be some of the best people to go raiding and have fun with. They love the game and probably have had more fin than most playing it.

lawl who are u son to call me a moron. Oh right, some noob DA whom I have never even seen lawl. Im sure I botted, yet im not banned. Im sure all the heroes were botted, yet they still alive and kicking. Have fun with ur invalid claims.

My char won't show up in C1 or C2 or early C3 logs...
Dav was made in the last week of the first month of C3, and I've grinded him up to 71 in this time... (I've been away for more than a month now and a few months/weeks in between too. I'm kinda back, uni takes a LOT of my time atm, lol...)
So grinding a char up to 78/75 is certainly possible (specially if it's a mage and you have a 7X recharger tagging along...) in the timespan from C1 to now...
The problem is a lot of people don't want to put that kind of time/effort into a char... (FE might be masta carebear, but I'm quite sure he's legit, lol...)
well I just saw the clan leader of Toxcity in a new clan named MagnaCarta ealier today in Giran.....
Also I believe Ive seen a few toons from Toxcity running around under different clan tags, but not 100% sure they were from Toxcity.
toxicity sold many of their accounts!
owner of toxicity is a friend of mine, toxcity left the server because they were sick of dealing with lightsword and RR.
and yes they sold all the accounts.
