Hello, thanks for reading my post. I have some questions which i hope you can help me with.
I am a new player and i am very intrested in Lineage 2. I have leveled WOW to 60 but i feel that the grind is abit too easy to be anyway rewarding. I read that in Lineage 2, leveling is slow and i am very happy with such a grind. I have a level 65 paladin in Everquest which took me 1 year. I will like to have the same experience in Lineage 2 !
I will be having nothing, thus i will like to choose the newest server so the competition will not be that excessive. Because i live in Singapore, lag is something i might have. I heard all the servers are in america, thus if a server is on the west coast, it will be better for me. Also i heard there is a europeon server, it sounds good too! And if possible, is there any lineage 2 server pinger which i can check my ping with? :).
Thanks for your help in advanced, its much appreciated. Thank You.
You wont have problems with lag on the servers but youll have trouble getting on any of them.
All the servers are well over a year old so youll be along way off the top guys on the server, you could always capaign for a new server but nc dont listen to us much.
Teon is the youngest server but its european which means the siege times will be much earlier then the other 8 servers.
welcome to lineage 2, if you need any help PM on the message boards.
We speak English just fine on Teon >.< Sometimes even better than the native English speakers do >.>
Teon is the youngest, and has events/sieges set to accommodate the main body of players, the europeans. Sieges are at 6pm GMT on Saturday and 4pm GMT on sunday.
I havent met a single Hungarian so far. Many Russian people, some Romanians and a growing number of Greeks, but no Hungarians... And most of them do speak English too, maybe they just decided to speak to you in their native names as they can freely curse in those. And since you were on your pk toon, they most likely were cursing.
Can you actually tell the languages apart from each other?
Bartz is the way to go, it has the most ppl and there is always ppl looking for raid partys or planning raid partys in the lower lvl towns. But any server is good you just have to pick the one you like best. And welcome to L2 ;)
A pretty bold statement there. How can you be so sure it has the most people? We were constantly full in C3/start of C4 when Bartz had no problems with login. It's a big server, but is it the biggest one? Noone really knows unless they get some statistics from NCSoft showing the average number of simultaneous connections during 1 month period.

First off, welcome to the game.
Secondly, yes... the leveling is slow. It used to be slower but they instituted new player buffers in the starting lands so that should help you out. However, only the character you start that exceeds a certain lvl (6?) will be able to take advantage of them. So pay attention to what you read from the "noob helpers".
Scamming is allowed in the game so be careful. Also, this is an open pvp game so you can be killed at anytime except in the towns.
