Hey, I'd like to know whos "addicted" and what makes you "addicted" to this game.
The reason I ask is because I cancel my subscription every other month, and then when I login the next day again. I just can't seem to stop. I get ****** cause of the lag, or dying, or whatever, quit for a day, say I will never play again, and then log back in the next day. This game has pulled me away from all the other ones I used to enjoy regularly, like Rome: Total War, Battlefield 2, Counterstrike, and all the countless new RPG's for PS2 that are still sealed in their boxes. I just love this game through thick or thin :D.

1: No. I could quit if I want to. I could quit smokeing too. :)
2: Friends. Work. Oblivian. I only had one time where the game upset me enough to walk away for the night... Otherwise when I get upset I calmly light a cigerette... when I'm done I log on an alt... pk a few noobs... log back on my main and get back to it.
3: Depends on what happens with my clan... my friends that play... what happens in RL... What NCsoft does with the game... if things continue as they are now I could play forever I think.

Of course. Most likely when the servers become full again or everyone I care about in the game is gone. Getting closer and closer to both of those.

-> Nope. It's a hobby, but I wouldn't break down without it.

-> When I'm bored, when I feel like playing an RPG. I suppose I take fewer evening walks since I started playing, but I'd hardly say my health is suffering.

-> I'm posting under my alt account, my main account has rebilling halted until Hindemith is working to my satisfaction. I have not quit, as this post probably demonstrates, but neither am I fully active. I would, however, quit in favor of another game if my L2 friends did the same.

Mildly addicted. Family and work still function well, but I could put more time into work. However, I could have said the same pre L2.
It has taken me away from a lot of historical based games, board games, and drinking games.
Since I enjoy seeing the history of the server being written in front of me, and since I want to see how my family of characters live their 'lives' and since I want to finish what I have become committed to....I intend to stay with L2 through all the chronicles and until the game segways into L3, some years after C12. My only conflict would arise if L3 was released prior to C12, or within a year or so after C12's release. I'll be here until the end.

2. Other games? I also play WoW and EVE. I go cyclical between which one I play the most, although WoW by far for the longest.
3. I think it'd be neat for this game to hold my interest until all the Chronicles are released. I was about to quit when C4 came out so downloaded that patch just to "check it out" before I cancelled; next thing you know I played for 3 days straight. :)
I'd say I'm somewhat addicted to L2 but I don't see how some of you manage to play so many games. I mean is that all you do? Play games? L2 is already a grind and I just don't see how adding a few more games will enhance my quality of life.
Well L2 does not pay my bills, a wedding, etc. And those DE toons sure don't get me laid (besided you never know when you grab the tranvestite by the hiney). The best mini game is the chase. Whether I'm chasing or the one being chased doesn't matter unless I hear the giant rumbling of a hippo behind me then it's off to the nearest cliff.
No, I'm not hooked. I was hooked last year, but not anymore. (That's why I'm not leveling much) The grind everyone complains about keeps me from getting hooked.
I probably won't stop paying for the game. I admire and really like the game.

3. I have quit on and off since release either from getting annoyed at the game or just being to busy to play the game but I have always come back. So I am confident that I will probably still be around till the end. I just haven't found a game that is as challenging as L2 and also that has as good as graphics as L2 does. I played WoW, SWG, and Eve and in my eyes none could come close to comparing to L2 in more then one area.
1 question though, is pawning your furniture to pay for your internet connection and game fees pretty typical of L2 players?
It's not unusual since you can play from the floor just fine. I volunteer for medical experiments that are illegal to perform on prisoners. It pays well and that annoying rash is now gone. I have, however, aquired a case of Tourette's Syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourettes_Syndrome). The good news is that the cussing is indistinguishable from a regular L2 session anyway...

I can always get another job, it's possible my wife may come back to me some day, and to be honest most of my friends weren't that cool anyway.......

Hahaha, well umm bad news. I can honestly say that I feel that way sometimes. I have a few friends, had a lot more, but none were that cool anyway. At least not as cool as Lineage. Definition of a nerd? Comparing games to friends. And I don't even have to worry about a wife cause I don't have one. We'll see how it goes.
