Depends totally on your armour set up. Please state your current armour and i can advise you.
There is a extensive guide to gladiators, including dyes, but it only applies to lvl 61+ and i notice you are a lvl 40 glad, so it wont help you right now. But for future refernce, go to player guides and search for the gladiator guide.
ok now lvl 45 in full compsite armour, using elv*elv duals lowest of all c grade duals because i got scamed out of top c duals ( but thats another matter)
Well, peronsally i wouldnt buy any tats if you cant afford them, they can be expensive and cost over 1million adena.
As a gladiator we have 43 CON, i would lose 3 of that and add it onto your STR, this will decrease your HP but increase your P atk. Gladiators are all about the damage. Make sure you only nerf CON down to 40 though, otherwise i believe the penalties become more severe with ease stat loss when udner a significant mark. This would give you STR 43/DEX30/CON40 Which will do you fine untill B grade when you then need to rethink your stats. Also pickup a -5int +4WIT dye. This will increase your resistance to debuffs.
You may also wish to reconsider your armour choice, if possible. If your not takeing damage its a good idea to fight as a glass cannon gladiator for C grade. Plated leather armour combined with a -2CON +2 DEX dye works really well. It gives you STR44 DEX32 CON40. You could then also afford to lower your CON further down if you like the set up and add more to DEX and STR.
Basically if you like HP, you want a +CON dye.
If you like attacking speed and the likes then you want a +DEX dye.
& If you like raw power to pump out more powerfull hits then you want a +STR dye.
IMO STR is king for gladiators, but there are plenty of CON and DEX set up gladiators out there, who will swear by their choice. Gladitors are so diverse you can hardly go wrong with any decision.

my dwarf couldnt afford tats when i first got em
actually gave my +4 str - 4 con priority over a new set of armor
never regreted it for 1 second, my kill speed was that much better that i was actually earning more adena per mob with less downtime

not sure if i would recommend that for a glad youve got skills that make up for the lack of damage
