over enchanters and the real introduction of S grade rec into the market. This happened in C3 with a grade as well. as people are now getitng recs they need and are getting the key mats for the items, the price of base mats will increase to meet the demand.
Yeah prices are definitely outrageous for mats right now. My suggestion is to set a buy shop up in Gludin. What I normally do with my dwarf to get the mats for cheaper. Will take longer though to get the mats you need. that is the only real downside to it.
No kidding. I went on vacation about 3 weeks ago. I came back to find Animal bones selling for about 2K and CBP selling for 20-15K. First time I saw a sell shop I thought the guy put an extra '0' on the end on accident...after the second and third shop I was stunned. Who'd have thought to see the day when CBP sells for 3x the cost of varnish!

Well cause the market (at least on Kain) is driven by farmers they can coordinate a multiple point attack! Such as stopping all production of B grade Bsps or A grade Bsps. Good thing I know a lovely 12 year old red haired girl that can make as many as she wants, lol!
Mat prices are practically the same. Since there are so many farmer stores, they set those all up and then normal players sell for that price because the majority just decided the market price. Lol I remember Varnish costing 500a but now is close to 12k. So I lvled my dwarf a bit, :). I think materials are connected to RL gas prices...
In keeping with that same logic about the farmers, they have also slashed their prices on other websites for a certain item that falls from mobs and is shiny, golden, and rhymes with adena. They have to keep up the prices to make sure they can cover their price cuts on real currency.
You know, theoreticly the better buisness practice would be to sell for a little lower than everyone else so that people will buy more from you. Like if 12k, than sell it for 11k or 10k. Mor people will buy it from you and you'll get more money because you'll have more customers than someone who is trying to rip people off. Hopefully doing this will inspire people to lower their prices as well. :)
But you know what...regular player (like all 3 of the regular dwarves) have maybe 2k of the item each. Farmers have like 30k and there are 18 of them. Sooo...the majority is still higher, and it is the new market value.
You know it gets bad when you try to buy materials to craft and you actually spend the same, or maybe even a little more than the item already crafted on the market...
Me? I just don't sell materials. They go to the alliance! :)
Hmmm, so hopefully I can go to Giran and sell my mats for enough to get D grade stuff. :p Boy that would sure save on time. Stupid superprised armor! :mad:
lol, so I've noticed. At least on L2Extreme the prices stayed in one general state.... high. I knew mats that sold for a few mil. :) Ah well, looks like my Dwarf idea was a good one. Build one to get money and ship that money to my other characters. :P
